(A/N: This oneshot was requested by badbitch_279. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Elvis Costello. Now, on with the oneshot!)

        The snow fell lightly outside as I watched it through the window pane. I had a day off from school and had promised to spend it with my 4 year old sister to give my mom a break. I was just waiting for my little sister to get out of the bathroom so we could go outside and play in said snow.

       "Are you almost ready, Sophie?" I called down the hallway.

       My answer was the sound of the toilet flushing and the sink running. I shook my head good naturedly and grabbed my boots from the shoe hutch by the front door. I slipped them on as Sophie came running down the hallway to me.

       "I'm ready, Y/N!" Sophie said.

       "Not yet, missy. Final checks." I said back. "Snow pants?"

       "Check!" She said, nodding her head.

       "Boots?" I asked.

       "Check!" She said, lifting her foot to show me.

       "Hat and gloves?" I asked, as I put my coat on.

       "Double check!" Sophie said.

       "Okay, we're ready." I said, zipping up my coat.

       With an excited squeal, Sophie ran out onto the snowy lawn. There was a good 2 inches of snow on the ground and Sophie was happily trudging through it. I watched her for a minute before a mop of blonde hair caught my eye. A smile spread across my face as my boyfriend, Guy, made his way up the shoveled sidewalk.

       "Hey, bubs!" I called out.

       "Hey!" He called back.

       "Guy!" Sophie shouted as she barreled into him, nearly knocking him over.

       "Hi, Sophie! How's my girl?" Guy asked, bending over to give Sophie a hug.

       "Good." She said back. "Wanna build a snowman with me?"

       "Sure." Guy said with a slight chuckle.

       "C'mon, Y/N! Help me and Guy build a snowman." Sophie exclaimed.

       I made my way off the porch and out into the snowy yard with my boyfriend and little sister. We spent the next 20 minutes rolling out three snowballs into different sizes and stacked them one on top of the other. Guy lifted Sophie up to put the head of the snowman on.

       "Now we need some details." Guy said as he set Sophie down.

       "We have some carrots in the kitchen for the nose!" Sophie said. She quickly turned around and hightailed it up the porch steps.

       "Wipe your feet!" I called out in reminder.

       She did as told and disappeared inside. Before I could turn back around, I felt a pair of arms snake their way around my waist. I let out a laugh as Guy rested his head on my shoulder and gave my cheek a kiss. 

       "Thanks for being so great with my sister." I said, turning my head to look at him.

       "No problem. She's a great kid." Guy said back.

       I turned around in his arms and placed a light kiss on his lips. It was a quick kiss but it left us both wanting more. As we went to lean in again, we heard giggles coming from the porch and turned to look.

       "Y/N and Guy, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Sophie sang.

       We both blushed at being caught but I quickly recovered. "Hey, missy! Where's that carrot we were waiting for?"

       Sophie hopped down the front steps and held the carrot in the air like she had some great treasure in her hand. She trudged over to us and yanked on Guy's coat sleeve, clearly wanting to be picked up again. He just laughed and did as he was asked. Sophie crammed the carrot into the snowman's head and admired her handywork. 

       "Now we need eyes and arms!" She said, wrapping her arms around Guy's neck.

       And with that the two of them were off in search of rocks and sticks. I watched fondly as my boyfriend and sister rummaged through the snow. We spent the rest of the afternoon making more snowmen and ending the day with hot cocoa by the fire. It was a great day had by all.
