(A/N: This oneshot was requested by JaiCarter7. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Madonna. Now, on with the oneshot!)

       A day. One full day. That's how long my best friend Jesse had been ignoring me. And it was driving me crazy. Normally we couldn't go more than a few hours without talking but for some reason, he hadn't said a word to me all day.

       It had started at school. I'd said 'good morning' to him like I did every morning but he just looked at me and walked away. He spent the rest of the day talking with Charlie and the other Ducks but not with me. 

       Then, at hockey practice, there were at least 4 times when he could have passed me the puck but again, he ignored me and passed it to someone else. I tried not to take offense to it, maybe he was just having a bad day. It wasn't until we were waiting for our parents to pick us up that it really took a turn.

       We were the last two waiting, Terry having been out sick, and I tried to make conversation multiple times but every time, Jesse would look at me but wouldn't utter a single word.

       "Jesse...please talk to me! Did I do something wrong?" I asked.

       Again, silence.

       I stopped trying after that. If he wanted to ignore me then fine. I'd ignore him too. We sat in silence until our parents both came and picked us up.

       It was the next day at school and Jesse still had yet to acknowledge me. It was really hurting my feelings but I did my best not to let it show. The other Ducks had started to notice the tension between us but didn't say anything.

       As we were walking home from school, we all started splitting off in different directions on our ways home. Soon, it was just Jesse and me. We walked most of the way in silence until I couldn't take it anymore.

       "Hey!" I yelled at him. "I don't know what your problem is but you need to get over it!"

       "I don't have a problem!" Jesse yelled back.

      "Bullshit! You've been ignoring me for the past day and I'm sick of it! What, do you all of a sudden hate me for some reason?!" I yelled.

       "I don't hate you!" Jesse again yelled back.

       "Then what is it?! What's the problem?!" I screamed.

       "...I LIKE YOU, OKAY?!" Jesse screamed back.

        That shut me up. I stood there with a surprised expression on my face as a blush bloomed across Jesse's cheeks.

       "Y-you like me?" I asked, quietly.

       "Yes." Jesse said.

       "Like, you like me like me?" I asked.

       "Yes! Okay? I like you like you." Jesse said.

       A smile spread across my face slowly. "Jesse...I like you like you too."

       "Really?" Jesse asked, surprised.

       "Yes!" I said, excitedly.

       "Cool." Jesse said.

       "Cool." I said back.

       We stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before he grabbed my hand. We finished the walk home together, hand in hand. Both of us with huge smiles on our faces. He never ignored me again.
