(A/N: This oneshot was requested by Cartykenchy. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. Now, on with the oneshot!)

The sound of the doorbell had me running out of my room. I was determined to get to the front door before my father did. A smile spread across my face as I skidded to a stop in front of said door, no dad in sight. As I was just about to turn the handle, someone cleared their throat behind me. I sighed and rolled my eyes before turning around. There stood my dad, Gordon Bombay, with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Not trying to leave before you introduce me to your date, are you Y/N?" My dad asked.

"No, dad." I said with another more exaggerated sigh. With a chuckle, my dad came up behind me and put his arm around my shoulder. "Please don't embarrass me, dad. Please?"

"Me? Embarrass you? Never!" Dad said with a twinkle in his eye.

I reached for the doorknob and pulled the door open to reveal my nervous looking date, Adam. Why he looked so nervous, I don't know. I mean, he's known me and my dad for years but I guess this was a whole new ball park.

"H-hi, Y/N." Adam said, clearing his throat when his voice sounded a bit high pitched.

"Hi, Adam." I said back with a slight giggle.

"Hello, Banks." Dad said. I looked up at him and noticed a stern look on his face that I'd only ever seen a few times in my life when I really screwed things up.

"Uh, hi Coach." Adam said back.

"Mr. Bombay if you don't mind, Banks." My dad said before gesturing for Adam to come into the apartment.

I saw Adam gulp before he took a few steps inside. I wanted to roll my eyes but held myself back. Dad led the both of us to the living room where we both sat on the couch while Dad sat in his recliner. The silence in the room was uncomfortable as we all just sat there staring at each other.

"How was the drive over here, Banks?" Dad asked suddenly.

"Oh, um, it was okay. Not too much traffic." Adam said, seemingly taken by surprise at the question.

"Let's talk about your car, Banks. Does it have a big back seat?" Dad asked, squinting his eyes at Adam.

"Dad!" I exclaimed, mortified that he'd ask such a question.

"So, Banks, where are you two going tonight?" Dad asked, changing the subject.

"Um, I thought we'd grab a bite to eat and then go to the movies, Mr. Bombay...sir." Adam said, glancing at me before looking back at my dad.

"Nothing too violent, I'm sure. Or with adult situations?" Dad asked, raising his eyebrow.

"No, sir! Nothing like that." Adam said, clearly panicking.

The urge to roll my eyes was stronger than ever. "Dad, we're 17. We're allowed to see R-rated movies if we want to." I said.

"Yes, I suppose you can." Dad said, looking at me briefly before training his gaze back to Adam. "Tell me, Banks, what are your ambitions for after you're done with school?"

Before Adam could answer, I let out another exaggerated sigh. "Oh for crying out loud! Dad, you've known Adam since he and I were 11! What's with the third degree?"

Dad's stern look returned for a moment before a smile cracked it's way across his face and he let out a laugh.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry." Dad said, standing from his chair and coming over to shake Adam's hand. "I'm just messing with you, Adam. I'm actually very pleased that you're taking Y/N out."

I saw Adam's shoulders fall as all his tension seemed to melt away. "Thanks, Coach." He said, shaking my dad's hand.

The three of us stood up and made our way back to the front door. I opened it and Adam and I stepped out into the hallway. Dad stood in the doorway, leaning against the door jamb.

"Okay, you two. Have fun." Dad said.

"We will!" Adam and I said before we started off down the hallway.

"Just not too much fun!" Dad called from behind us.

Adam and I looked at each other and blushed.

       "DAD!" / "COACH!"

(A/N: Thanks again to Cartykenchy for the request! I hope you liked it! I love the idea of Gordon giving any of the Ducks a hard time when picking up Y/N for a date so I knew I had to write this lol Requests are currently closed but will open again in no time! That's all for now! Until next time! Thanks!!)
