come rain or come shine (g.g.) (requested)

(A/N: This oneshot was requested by chicken_strips21. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Ray Charles. Now, on with the oneshot!)

       The front door to the Germaine house flew open as my boyfriend, Guy, and I crashed threw it. The both of us were soaking wet and laughing hysterically. We'd been on a walk when it suddenly started pouring rain. We high-tailed it back to his house but the damage had already been done.

       As we stood in the entry way, our laughter died down and Guy pulled me in close by my waist. A piece of hair fell into my face but Guy was quick to move it behind my ear. I looked into his eyes as he pulled me in for a quick kiss.

       "Come on. I have some clothes you can change into." Guy said as our lips parted ways.

       I nodded and let him lead me by the hand to his room. I stood there shivering as Guy grabbed us both a change of clothes from his dresser drawers. He handed them to me and gave me another quick kiss before he left me alone to change. I quickly shed my soaked clothes and put on his warm ones. They smelled like him and I couldn't stop myself from inhaling a deep breath.

       After I was done changing, I opened the door and walked into the Germaine's living room. Guy was already there, sitting on the couch with a towel around his shoulders. He had another one in his hands that he held out to me. I thankfully took it and started drying my hair with it. When I thought it was sufficiently dried, I sat down next to Guy and snuggled into his side.

       "Wanna watch some movies?" Guy asked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

       "Sure." I said, resting my head on his shoulder.

       Nodding his head, Guy reached next to him and grabbed the TV remote. He turned on the TV and changed it to a movie channel. We were in luck as it was just a few minutes into our favorite movie 'The Princess Bride'. We looked at each other and smiled before snuggling into the couch together.

       About a half hour into the movie, I started to get hungry. I looked at Guy with puppy dog eyes and waited for him to notice me. It didn't take long.

       "Can I help you?" Guy asked.

       "Snacks, please." I said, rubbing my stomach.

       Guy let out a chuckle before kissing the side of my head. "As you wish."

       He stood up and gave a small bow, which made me laugh, before retreating into the kitchen to get us something to eat. I watched the movie for another minute before suddenly a loud clap of thunder and a flash of lightening shown through the window and the TV and lights shut off. I sat there in the dark for a few seconds before I heard Guy moving around in the kitchen again.

       "Hey, bubs?" I called out.

       "I know, I know. The power's out in the whole house." Guy called back.

       A minute later, Guy came back from the kitchen with a bowl of chips in one hand and a flashlight in the other. He carefully walked around the coffee table before sitting down next to me again.

       "Well, there goes our movie plans." Guy said with a sigh.

       I nodded before taking a chip and popping it in my mouth. I turned my gaze to the window and watched the rain fall down the window pane. I watched as two rain drops fell side by side, mentally rooting for the one on the right side to win the imaginary race I put them in.

       "Damn." Guy said, suddenly.

       "What?" I asked, tearing my gaze away from the window.

       "I wanted the one rain drop to win." He said with a bashful chuckle.

       "You were having them race too?" I said, laughing to myself.

       "I thought I was the only one who did that!" Guy said, sounding surprised.

       I laughed out loud at that. "We are such dorks!" I said.

       "Yeah but we're dorks together." Guy said, grabbing my hand.

       "Together." I said, playing with his rings.

       We sat there for the rest of the afternoon, just watching the rain fall and holding each other while eating snacks. It was a good day.
