Part 20 - DARREN DOES SOME READING

Darren, Ryan and Josh were trashing Sean's house when they heard someone opening the front door with a key. They froze and waited to see who it was. Although the school day had ended over an hour earlier they were sure it couldn't be Sean as he was currently back at the school giving Reece, Billy and James 3 hours of detention 

Liam and Matthew walked in and they all got a shock to see each other

''Matt, Liam, what are you two doing here?'' Darren asked and both boys were like rabbits in headlights

''Erm...well why are you here?'' Liam asked. Since Darren and the other two were the intruders it did seem that Liam and Matthew were the ones with more right to be asking

''We're here to show Lewis that he is getting too big for his boots and it's not a good idea to mess us around. Now tell me why you're here and why you have your own key'' Darren told them

Neither boy was all that willing to answer. Liam didn't want them to know that Sean was his stepdad but Matthew in particular didn't want them to know that Sean was his dad since he was part of the gang and he was worried he would be kicked out of the gang

''Answer me then? Do you live with Mr Lewis?''

''No he sent us here to do chores for him'' Liam lied

''You Sure?'' Darren wasn't convinced

Josh walked down the stairs smirking and showed Darren a photo of Matthew, Louise and Sean together taken a few years ago

''I think Matthew is Sean's son'' Josh said

''Yes looks like it'' Darren agreed ''And Liam are you his son too? Are you two brothers?''

''No he is my stepfather that is all'' Liam said. He hadn't wanted to admit it but then on the other hand he wasn't scared of Darren either so why did he need to hide the truth?

''You poor losers'' Darren said and almost felt pity for them. Having Sean as a father/stepfather couldn't be much fun at all

''I didn't want anyone to know'' Matthew said

''No I bet you didn't. You're his little spy aren't you? Telling him things?''

Matthew shook his head and looked scared ''I didn't tell him anything i swear

''Well even if you didn't there is no way i can trust you again now'' Darren told him ''So you're out of my gang for good''

Matthew was very upset but he knew if the truth ever came out this would be the most likely consequence of it so he nodded his head in resignation

''I understand'' he said

''And I'll tell all the other boys at school the truth about you both'' Darren said

Matthew was now agitated and even Liam was a little

''Please don't do that. If the whole school knows he's my father I'll be in for a hard time'' Matthew said

''Yes and that's what you deserve!''

''But why do i deserve it? It's not my fault he is my father!''

''The boys have a right to know the truth. You're probably spying on all of them and reporting back to your daddy''

''I'm not I swear'' poor Matthew said ''Just show me some mercy that's all I ask''

''Mercy isn't a word I know...''

Liam was getting fed up with Darren ''Listen i suggest you keep it to yourself or i'll beat the shit out of you again'' he told Darren ''You know i can do it and i am not scared of your gang either''
