Part 21 - THE BEATING

The school playing field

Sean was training James hard and was in a foul mood. James was in a lot of pain from the training

It was after school and Reece, Matthew, Ryan, Josh and Billy were all serving detention while Sean trained James. The other boys were doing various jobs around the school. Reece was washing Sean's car, Ryan was cleaning the toilets, Josh was cleaning the office, Billy was cleaning the staff room and Matthew was cleaning the changing rooms

''Today I am in a very bad mood and I'm not going to show you any mercy'' Sean told James

James tried for a while but he was exhausted and in pain so eventually he collapsed on the ground and refused to get up

''GET UP NOW AND GET ON WITH YOUR TRAINING!'' Sean bellowed at him

''No I've had enough'' James said ''I want to stop''

James got up and started to walk back towards the school and Sean ran after him in a rage

''I did not give you permission to finish, get back to your training!'' he demanded

''Get lost!'' James said. He was angry and tired and was sick of the training and suddenly he didn't even feel scared of Sean anymore

''How dare you talk to me like that!'' Sean was furious

They arrived at the changing rooms. Matthew was still there cleaning. James started taking his kit off. Sean was getting up into his face, super aggressive

''I'm going to train you even harder now and punish you for disobeying me'' he told James

''No you're not, as of now it's over. I don't want to do this anymore. I quit'' James said ''I am going to talk to my parents about moving to a different school so that i can get away from you''

''You can't quit unless I say you can which i never will. You can't move to a different school unless i say you can either and I will never do that either. I want you to be a footballer and I will be your manager!''

''You seriously need help man. This obsession with training boys to be footballers is out of control. I know you are only doing it for money and I've had enough. I want out and frankly, I don't blame Daniel for fleeing to a monastery I feel like following him there for some peace and quiet. Every day I've got you on my back pushing Don't you understand I don't even want to be a footballer? I couldn't care less. Just get over it already it's boring as hell man. Get a life and move on''

Matthew was standing watching and he sensed that James had really pushed it and Sean was about to lose his temper big time 

And he did. He flew into a rage and attacked James. He gave him some brutal punches and James fell to the floor. Sean kicked him viciously several times while he was on the floor

''You won't speak to me like that ever again!'' he said angrily

 James screamed in agony ''AH STOP IT!''

''DAMN YOU, JAMES, YOU MADE ME LOSE MY TEMPER!'' Sean yelled while kicking him on the floor

Matthew ran over

''Dad...Sir...stop it! You'll kill him'' Matthew said desperately to his father

The beating finally stopped as Sean had taken notice of Matthew and realised he should stop

''Yes you're right Matthew i don't know what came over me'' Sean said. He had sweat pouring down his face and took a tissue out of his pocket to dry his face

James was lying on the floor, whimpering in agony, very severely beaten.

Matthew knelt beside him to look at him
