Part 81 - TERROR FOR LIAM, STEPHEN, DANIEL, LOUIS, AND CALLUM

''So now it looks like Matthew has been taken too'' Sandra told all the boys

''This is very scary'' Louis said ''I hope we won't be taken too''

''Yes i hope we won't be next'' Callum said ''Is there anything we can do to avoid being kidnapped too?'' 

''Just be careful that is all you can do'' Alan told them

''Let us bow down. Let us kneel and worship the Lord our maker!'' Daniel said solemnly to the other monks at the monastery. He was doing very well in his role as the head monk now

''We miss Clive a lot but you're proving to be a fine replacement Daniel!'' Stuart had told him

''Yes i agree with Stuart you are a fine and worthy replacement as head monk'' Jeremy had said

''Thank you men'' Daniel had said with pride ''I fully intend to serve you for many years like Clive did''

It was another normal day at the monastery. Daniel and the monks did their morning worship as usual, then had their breakfast and got busy with their various chores. Daniel was content with life and his routine at the monastery. Then, like a black cloud coming to remove the sunshine and darken his mood, the police arrived to speak to Daniel

''Are you aware that Sean Lewis has escaped from prison?'' they asked him

''No we don't always hear all the news here'' Daniel replied ''We try to stay as informed as we can on what is going on outside but we don't hear everything that happens''

''Well we felt we should come and warn you about it'' they said ''As you could be on his list of targets for revenge''

''Revenge?'' Daniel said and shook his head ''No i really doubt he will do anything. He'll be too busy trying to escape overseas now''

''Well don't be too sure will you. Three boys who we believe are on his list of targets, plus a baby, have all gone missing and we suspect he has them all. So just try and stay alert Daniel''

''Gosh yes i will and thank you for warning me. I will pray the missing boys and baby are all found safe and well''

Daniel didn't really think Sean would come back to the monastery or try to do anything to him. So he wasn't really scared but he was angry. Very angry that Sean had escaped from prison. The whole point of setting him up in the confession booth was to get him put in prison so that he could finally be punished for everything he did. Now he was on the run from prison and escaping from the punishment he deserved. This made Daniel angry and after the police had left he immediately got on his knees to pray that Sean would be recaptured soon

''Lord please make sure Sean goes back to prison where he belongs'' Daniel prayed

Then he had a little smile when he thought about his beliefs in the after life. As according to Daniel there was indeed an eternal punishment that Sean would be eligible for

''Or even if he escapes punishment in this life you can of course put that right in the next one Lord'' he said cheerfully. Daniel had always been a polite mild mannered sort of boy. The sort you would take to meet your old granny without needing to worry because you would know he would be totally inoffensive and not do anything to upset her. But, like many religious people, he held some rather dark and sadistic beliefs about the afterlife and he believed he was fully justified in wishing an eternal hell on some people. To be fair if there was any sort of afterlife punishment then people like Sean would be the exact people who did deserve it. Although for eternity would be quite extreme for anyone even Sean
