Christine went to the staff room to think about her conversation with Billy. She was sure Billy was telling the truth. The problem was that the police already knew anyway but Sean had been cleared so what could she do? She thought maybe she could visit the boy, Dale, who had taken the blame for Sean. But would that really help? If the boy was too scared to tell the truth it could be a waste of time
But Christine was determined to expose the truth about Sean. As she sat thinking another alarming thought entered her head. What if Sean had killed Mr Adams as well? He had a motive to do it. He wanted to get rid of him so he could be the headmaster. But no surely not? Adams had written a suicide note before jumping so maybe Christine was just letting her imagination run away with her?
Or maybe, somehow, Sean had forced Adams to write the note then jump? Now Christine was feeling very disturbed. She had now worked it out, Sean forced Adams to kill himself so he could be the headmaster
''I know for sure now that you killed that boy at Waterloo Hill'' she told Sean later when the pair of them were alone in her office
''Oh really? How do you know?''
''I just do. I have new information''
''Well your information is false dear''
''I don't think so i trust my source''
Sean smirked ''You trust Billy really? He is a liar'' Sean knew it was Billy who Christine had been talking to
''Well anyway I was thinking about poor Mr Adams, the way he died. Do you know what I thought?'' Christine asked
''No but please tell me as I am sure it's fascinating'' Sean answered while mocking Christine
''I thought that it was really very odd that he committed suicide out of the blue like that for no apparent reason. I know i came to the school after he had died but everyone kept saying how much of a shock it was and that he didn't seem depressed''
''Some people hide their depression well...''
''But he also had a wife and sons. Was he really the type of man to go off and leave them like that? I think he was murdered''
''But there was a suicide note in his handwriting...''
''The person who killed him must have forced him to write it and then forced him to jump somehow''
''And who do you think would do that?''
''The person I am looking at right now''
Sean just smirked ''Really? And why would I?''
''Because you wanted to be the headmaster so, in order to get what you wanted, you needed to get rid of Mr Adams''
''You're crazy''
''Well let me tell you I am on to you and I won't let you get away with your crimes. I intend to take care of the boys and get rid of you for good so that I can protect them and you can't hurt any more boys. I will expose the truth about you. It might take time but I won't give up until I've done it. I'll see to it that you are behind bars if it's the last thing I do''
''Dream on sweetheart''
''I know you beat James and let Matthew take the blame too''
''You need help Christine dear you're losing your mind and its sad to see''
''Enjoy being headmaster won't you Sean. It won't last for much longer i can promise you that. I'll nail you and you'll be behind bars where you belong''
