Part 47 - SERIAL KILLER Part 2

Louis was climbing fast out of the window when the attackers rushed over and tried to pull him back into the house

''LET ME GO YOU NUTTERS'' he yelled and kicked out at them. They grabbed him and tried to pull him back inside. He fought and broke away and fell backwards out of the window and screamed as he fell. He landed hard hitting the concrete below, his head hit it and he lay there unconscious

People in nearby houses had heard the scream and rushed out and found him. The man came out of the house but the woman did not come out

''What happened? I heard a scream'' one of the neighbours asked the man while she bent down to look at Louis

''Erm well this boy fell from the window upstairs...you see well...'' the man started to say and had to think of an explanation fast ''This kid broke into my house and when i caught him he ran and i chased him. He tried to escape out the window and fell''

''Oh i see yes'' another neighbour said ''How awful for you to have an intruder like that'' 

The neighbours were examining Louis

''This boy is seriously hurt. We'd better phone for an ambulance'' one of them said

''Why should we worry so much about him?'' another said in disgust and stared with hate at Louis ''He is just some thief who broke into this poor mans house''

''Well that may be true but he still needs urgent medical attention'' the more decent and compassionate man said and got his phone out to call the ambulance

''I really hope the boy will be ok even though he was an intruder i don't wish him harm'' the attacker said and acted like he was very concerned about Louis

A while later the unconscious Louis was hooked up to some machines in the intensive care unit at the hospital. The man who attacked him was at the hospital with the doctors as he had agreed to go to the hospital as part of his act of appearing concerned for Louis

''The boy has a very serious head injury and is in a coma'' a doctor told him

''Will he survive?'' the man asked

''Impossible to say right now. Its too early to tell. But we will do our best to save him. He hit his head hard on the concrete and head injuries can be very serious indeed. Even if he wakes up he could have brain damage''

The man pretended to cry ''Poor poor boy'' he said tearfully ''Even though he broke into my house i still hope he recovers from this. He is only a teenager its awful''

''Now we need to try and find out who he is so that we can inform his family'' the doctor said

''Yes. Well do you mind if i leave now?'' Louis's attacker asked ''I've done my bit and there is no point hanging around any longer. He isn't my family after all''

''Well we don't need any more help from you. You've done all you can and been very helpful'' the doctor said ''But i do believe the police are waiting to have a word with you''

''Oh i see'' the attacker said calmly

Inspector Grace was waiting in a room when the attacker was shown in to see him

''I was told you wanted to speak to me?'' the attacker said

''Yes that's right i need to ask you a few questions'' Grace replied

''Will this take long inspector?'' the man asked ''I'm very upset about it all and i want to go home to rest''

''Shouldn't take long at all. I just need to ask you a few questions. We need to know more about what happened tonight and how the boy fell from your window''
