''The Inspectors gave a good report and approved you to buy the school'' the man from the department told Sean

Sean was over the moon ''Oh thank you that is great''

''Yes but i'm afraid to say we were concerned when we were told about the boys protesting on the roof. That was bad enough but then when we heard about the fire too that made it even worse. So then we started to have doubts''

Sean's heart sank ''But Sir it wasn't my fault those things happened and i tried to get things under control. I saved a boy from the fire''

''Yes we know Sean, that's why. despite our doubts, we've decided to give you permission to buy the school. Your heroism didn't go unnoticed and we are rewarding you''

Sean was over the moon again. The man at the department sure gave him a scare at first making him think they were going to turn him down

Mark was supervising a class alone. Sean had told him he needed practice at controlling a class by himself

Billy and Callum were in the class

''Hey Sir how come they left you in charge of a class? You're still only a trainee'' Billy asked 

''Part of my training is leaving me alone to supervise classes. I have to do it sometimes i can't have other teachers with me all the time'' Mark told him

''Well none of us want to work today Sir, we want to go outside and play football!'' Callum said ''we all had such a nasty shock yesterday with the fire and today we would like to relax''

''You cannot. you must sit here and do the work assigned to you by Mr Murphy''

''But Sir Mr Murphy isn't here'' Billy said with a grin

''No but he left instructions for the work you have to do so please do it''

''Gonna make us Sir?'' Callum asked

''Yes''

''How Sir?''

''If you don't do it i will give you detention''

Billy and Callum laughed their heads off

''But Sir i already have detention for the rest of my life'' Callum said ''Well the rest of my school life anyway. There is nothing you can do to me now, already have the maximum punishment man''

''Yeah that's right'' Billy said ''and i also have a lot of time on detention although not as long as Callum''

''I can punish you with lunchtime or early morning detentions Mr Lewis told me so'' Mark said ''as your detentions with him are after the school day ends''

''So what maybe we enjoy detention'' Billy said with a laugh. They didn't really enjoy it much other than that it gave them reputations as bad boys which was kind of cool. Other boys respected them for being bad enough to get such a long time on detention. Even Louis was getting respect for being a ''detention lifer''

''Well then I could give you a writing punishment so severe your wrists will ache for a month boys'' Mark told them

''What sort of writing punishment Sir?'' Billy asked innocently

''Something like 50,000 words about how to make pancakes''

Everyone in the class laughed

''No one can write all those words about how to make pancakes, its impossible. You're a joke Sir'' Billy mocked
