The day Sean had been looking forward to arrived, The day Darren would be sentenced for starting the arson attack
Sean went to court to witness the sentencing. Darren, who was dressed in a smart shirt and trousers was looking scared and subdued. He was also looking very mad when he saw Sean sitting in court smiling at him and enjoying his torment
''I take cases of arson very seriously'' the judge said solemnly ''Once a fire has been lit it is impossible to know what the consequences will be. How out of control a fire could get. People can be hurt and killed and one boy was trapped, injured and could have died. The fact that you lit a fire in a school while it was full of people shows me that you have no regard for other peoples safety and so i am giving you the maximum punishment allowed for arson which is life imprisonment and i am setting the minimum number of years you must serve before you can apply for parole at 30''
Darren bowed his head and wept in misery
''Ah no Sir please not life'' he begged in tears
''Yes boy absolutely a life sentence for you. It is what you deserve. You can apply for parole in about 30 years''
Darren was in complete despair as he was taken away and he saw Sean grinning at him with delight and all he could think about was how much he hated Sean. Yes Darren knew he had done wrong and deserved to be punished but he was still very bitter that Sean got away with everything he did
Sean returned to the school and told the teachers about Darren's sentence
''So life with a minimum of 30 years was the sentence'' Sean said with glee
''And he deserved it'' Mark said
''Yes he definitely deserved it'' Cynthia said
''I agree and i was delighted to see him get the sentence he deserved'' Sean said with delight
Sandra was upset ''I know he was a bad boy but i can't help feeling damn sad about the sentence he got'' she said sadly ''I can't find any joy out of hearing that a boy his age will now serve 30 years behind bars. Its awful''
''Well i think you are wasting your time feeling sorry for him'' Sean told her ''That boy is scum and he is where he belongs now''
''Yes i agree with Sean'' Mean Cynthia said ''The boy is where he belongs''
Sandra sighed. Today she felt fed up and miserable. She had never liked Darren but she couldn't feel happy about his sentence the way Sean, Mark and Cynthia did. Plus she wasn't stupid she knew that Sean was partly to blame. Oh she didn't know how but she had figured out that something had gone on between Sean and Darren and that Sean had probably provoked Darren in some way. Of course it didn't justify Darren's arson attack and he did deserve to be punished for it but Sandra just knew that Sean wasn't innocent in it and that he too should be behind bars with Darren
But Sean had much better luck than Darren it seemed. Much better luck than Darren and Matthew that was
Darren was at Blackworth Detention Center for boys. The same prison Matthew and Dale were in
Matthew and Dale had been on a different block to Darren, as Darren had been on the remand wing ,so they hadn't seen each other yet. But now that Darren had been sentenced he was moved from the remand wing and was moved to the same wing as Matthew and Dale
Matthew was surprised when he saw Darren although it wasn't a surprise for Darren as he already knew Matthew was in prison
''Wow hey man what you doing here?'' Matthew said when he saw him
