Part 59 - PHYSICAL ATTRACTION

Sean survived the arson attack. He woke up in time and ran to the bedroom window. He was rescued by his neighbors who put a ladder against the wall and he climbed down from the bedroom window. But the entire house burnt down and Sean lost everything he owned at the house except his car. All his possessions inside the house were destroyed but he still had some stuff in his office at the school

Sean was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation and Inspector Grace went to speak to him at the hospital

''Well it was arson'' Grace told him ''There is no doubt about that. Petrol was used''

''Then you need to find the arsonist and fast!'' Sean demanded ''They tried to kill me!''

''Any ideas who it could have been?'' Grace asked

''Well it could have been Billy or Sandra or Stephen or Cynthia or Liam or...''

Grace cut Sean off ''Yeah yeah i know. You may as well list everyone who knows you Sean. It won't be easy for us to find the culprit with so many suspects''

Sean was irate ''Well its your job to try right?''

''Yeah'' Grace said and was hardly bothering to hide his lack of interest in someone trying to kill Sean

''My entire house is destroyed'' Sean said ''I lost everything in the house''

''Yes sad'' Grace said while he lit a cigarette

''You don't care i know. Well if you won't find the arsonist i will do it myself''

''No you will not'' Grace told him sternly ''Leave it to us and that's an order''

Sean was wondering where he would live now that his house was gone. He knew Agatha had room at her house but he didn't want to live with her again. That would be a complete nightmare. So where could he stay? Well he had enough money for a hotel but he didn't want to live in a hotel long term. There wasn't exactly anywhere else he could go

Or maybe there was?

Sean had a thought in his head and he liked it

Sean discharged himself from the hospital the next morning against the advice of the doctors

''I'd prefer it if you stayed in for a day or two just so we can monitor you'' a doctor told him

''I appreciate your concern but i am a busy man and i can't waste time lying around in here'' Sean told him and marched off 

Sean returned to his house to get his car. He was shocked when he saw the condition of the house. Completely burnt to a shell. The smell of burning and petrol lingered in the air. It was a miracle he had woken up in time and been saved from the house because one thing was sure. If he had stayed asleep and not woken up he would have died in there

Sean returned to the school and asked Lorraine to his office

When they got inside the office she noticed that Sean looked tense and wound up

''Is something wrong Sean?'' she asked

Sean poured himself a whisky and looked around his office. He took some comfort in having not lost everything and still having some of his things safe in his office

''My house burnt down last night'' he told Lorraine ''i was inside at the time but i was rescued. But i lost everything in the house. The house is completely destroyed''

''Oh my god Sean that is awful'' Lorraine said with distress ''How did it happen?''

''Oh it was arson'' Sean told her grimly ''Someone wanted to kill me''
