Part 73 - PUNISHMENT FOR SEAN, JOSH, AND RYAN

''What exactly did you hear?'' Sean asked Inspector Grace

''I heard everything Sean'' Grace told him ''How you murdered all those people. It's all been recorded down now''

''But you had no right to hear what i said to the priest in confession'' Sean said and tried to be indignant about it even though he knew it was over now. The police had heard his confession and that was the end of it. He was going to prison for life now

The door to the other cubicle in the confession booth opened and a man stepped out

''Sean i want you to meet my colleague Sergeant Thorne'' Grace told Sean

Sean looked at the other man ''You're a police detective too?''

''Yes that's right'' Thorne said ''Just now you didn't confess to a priest you confessed to a police sergeant''

Sean looked at Daniel ''And you set all this up?'' he said to him ''You encouraged me to come to confession knowing that the police would hear it?''

''Yes that's right'' Daniel said ''I planned all this with the inspector. After you came to the monastery and confessed to me i contacted the inspector with my idea to get you into confession and for the police to hear it all''

''And what if i had refused or changed my mind?'' Sean said ''How could you know for sure that i would go ahead with it and if i hadn't then what would you have done?''

Daniel shrugged ''Yes of course the inspector and me both knew maybe you wouldn't go ahead with the confession and if you hadn't we all would have been annoyed and frustrated and i am not sure what we could have done after that. But the fact is you did go ahead with it and the plan worked perfectly''

''I am surprised at you Daniel. You are a devious little bastard. I didn't think you would do something like this''

''Well you should be punished for all the things you have done'' Daniel told him coldly ''Also i want you gone from the monastery for good and i didn't want you to succeed with some of those plans you had''

Sean looked at Stuart ''And what was your reason for getting involved?''

''I've never liked you'' Stuart explained ''You came to the monastery, murdered Clive, and then took over. I knew from the start you were trouble''

''Come on Sean its time to go'' Grace said ''Its over now and you must face the consequences. You will serve life in prison now''

Sean smiled sadly ''You know something'' he began ''It's very odd. People say there is a great sense of relief when something like this is over. But i don't feel that at all, quite the opposite, i was looking forward to pushing myself further and further to see how far i could go and how much more i could do and get away with. I wasn't ready or expecting it to end now''

''Well nothing lasts forever and you had a good run at it Sean'' Grace told him

Grace and Thorne began to lead Sean away

''Good luck in prison Sean'' Daniel said with a smirk as he was taken away

Sean stopped and looked back at Daniel for a moment ''I'll be fine'' he told him ''I'll fight. I'll Survive. I might even win'' 

After watching Sean get driven away, in the police car, Daniel and Stuart headed back to the monastery to inform the other monks what had happened. William, Jeremy and the others were all shocked and upset about it. The monks now had to plan what to do now that Clive and Sean were both gone they needed another head monk once again
