Tsubaki's pov
The next morning, I got up early and had breakfast with my Mom and Bulma's parents. I learned that Dad was going off-world with Whis and Beerus, he had stopped by to see me before they left. "You promise to come back?" I asked, hugging him tightly. "Tsu, there's no need to worry. I'll be back later today." Dad reassured me, hugging me back. "Good luck," I said, "If anyone will need luck, it'll be you and Trunks. I heard that you two will be sparring with Vegeta. I'm surprised this will be your first time training with him." Dad stated, "Yeah.." I hadn't trained with Vegeta before now, I was always training with Dad, Trunks, or Gohan. This was going to be an interesting sparring session, "Don't worry so much about it, I'm sure you'll do just fine." Dad smiled, patting my shoulder. "Thanks, Dad." I smiled, "I wonder... How is it that you haven't trained with Vegeta before?" Beerus asked, "There wasn't an opportunity to. Whenever we had a big bad to fight off, I always trained with Dad or Trunks. Back in my timeline, Gohan was the one who taught Trunks and me how to fight. He was all we had left after the Androids killed the other Z fighters." I explained, "You two had your work cut out for you." Whis commented, "Yeah, we did..." I tried not to think back on that time, everything had been so hard but we had Gohan and Bulma. And now she's gone because of this selfish asshole who stole my father's body, I gave my final goodbyes to my Dad and watched them leave. "You okay, Tsu?" Bulma asked, noticing the tense look on my face after they left. "Yeah, I'm just a bit nervous. I haven't trained with Vegeta before so I don't know how it'll go." I answered, "It'll be fine. Vegeta may seem like he'll give you a hard time but I think you'll be able to handle it. Just ask Trunks." Bulma smiled, "Mom's right. When we trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he was strict and gave me a hard time but I think it gave me a better understanding of why he's so calm during fights and why he can handle himself well." Trunks explained, that the two of us headed off to find Vegeta.
When we arrived, Vegeta seemed annoyed that we were a little late. He decided that he would go against Trunks first to see how far he's come along so I decided to watch them as they fought. It would help me learn Vegeta's fighting pattern, which was something that I had picked up from training with Asher back home. Even at full power, Trunks was no match for Vegeta, who had gone Super Saiyan Blue. It was something that took both Trunks and I by surprise, neither one of us knew of Super Saiyan Blue. If Vegeta was able to go there, then Dad could as well. This makes me wonder if Goten and Present Trunks can do the same. Watching Vegeta take down Trunks with ease made me worry, it showed me just how much we lacked strength and power. With our current power, Trunks and I were no match to actually take down Goku Black. I was going to need to push myself harder if I wanted to be anywhere near the same level as Vegeta and Dad, hell, Present Trunks and Goten were probably stonger than both of us. Trunks dropped out of Super, hitting the ground and clutching his stomach. Vegeta was not too happy with the fact that Trunks couldn't take him down, he seemed even more disappointed. He grabbed Trunks by the shirt, picking him up so that they were looking eye to eye. "Look at me, dumbass.." I was slightly taken aback by Vegeta's choice of words, but I realized that maybe he was trying to talk some sense into Trunks. "Wipe that smile off your face! Stopping Black, is that your only goal? You think it ends there? Think about the next threat in a year, or five, or ten. Or think about your pride! Saiyan blood flows in your veins, if you're my son as you claim then I won't tolerate you losing to anyone. You'll be the best or you'll be nothing.." Vegeta's words seemed harsh, but I could tell that he wasn't trying to be mean or degrading. In fact, he was being the opposite. He was trying to motivate Trunks, and it seemed that Trunks understood what Vegeta was doing.
"Stop, he's been through enough!" Bulma came running over with Dad in tow, I hadn't realized that he had gotten back. Dad stopped Bulma from interrupting what was going between Trunks and Vegeta, I didn't get involved either because this was something that needed to happen "Stop, just let them do this. It's okay. It may seem harsh but that's how Saiyans work." Dad comforted Bulma, I could tell from the look on her face that she was worried. "What are you doing here?" Vegeta pushed Trunks away, I looked back at Trunks wondering what was going through his mind when he suddenly headbutted Vegeta who was caught off guard, he came out of Super Saiyan Blue and hit the ground. Bulma stared in horror, while I stared at him in disbelief as I did not see that coming.
"Oh boy," Dad covered his face.
"Damn you-" Vegeta stopped talking when he saw the resolve on Trunks's face. "So that counts as landing a blow, right?" Trunks asked, "I guess that means I win." Vegeta growled in annoyance while Trunks only smiled and laughed, making me smile. I felt proud watching him gain the resolve and confidence he needed back, watching him lose that because of Black was hard. "I hear you and I will get stronger. Stronger than black," Trunks held out his hand to Vegeta, "And stronger than you." Vegeta got up, turning his attention away from Trunks and onto me.
"You ready?" He asked, his tone was a bit softer but still stern.
"Yeah."
"Let's get out of the way," Dad led Bulma and Trunks over to the him sidelines, the three of them taking their spots as Vegeta and I faced one another. i can tell this was going to a hard training session with him.
