3rd person's pov
Trunks stretched his arms, letting out a quiet yawn as the sun shined through a small crack in the back window. He had woken up early deciding to take over the remainder of Mai's shift, she gave him a sleepy smile and fell asleep with ease. Trunks sighed quietly, rubbing his eyes as he leaned against the wall. He couldn't help but think about Tsubaki, he hoped that she was okay and found a place to stay. When his eyes landed on Yori, he was reminded of Oliver and how much he missed him. He had hoped that his mother, Chi-Chi, and the others were safe at Kami's lookout. It was the only place that the virus hadn't been able to reach, a majority of the people they were able to save had been evacuated there. He rubbed his eyes, leaning against the wall as he tried to think of a way out of the area. This place wasn't going to hold up much longer, he knew that they needed to get going soon. With a new addition to their small group, he knew that things would probably get complicated. Trunks quietly pulled the map out of his bag, marking it with their location, and tried to find the best route to get the two to safety. He had hoped to find a safer route to one of the camps set up outside of West City, he wanted to see if Yori's parents were there. Elizabeth shifted in her sleep, the sun beaming on her face made her shift onto her right side. She woke up to the sound of paper rustling, her eyes landing on Trunks who was still looking at the map. "Trunks?" He lifted his head at the sound of his name being called, when his eyes met Elizabeth's, he just sighed quietly. "Did I wake you?" He asked, "No, you didn't.." Elizabeth sat up, the blanket sliding off of her as she leaned against the wall. "What are you doing?" She asked, rubbing her eyes as she let out a soft yawn.
"Looking for a safe route to get you and Yori out of harm's way." Trunks said.
"Are you not going to go searching for your girlfriend?" Elizabeth asked, "I am searching for her but right now, I need to get you and Yori out of this city because it's no longer safe to stay here. The city is overrun and there's no telling how many people are left who aren't infected. She wouldn't want me looking through the city for her, dragging people into it when it's not safe." Trunks explained.
"She sounds like a great person," Elizabeth said, frowning slightly.
"She is. We got separated while we were helping people. I can only hope that she and our friend Asher are okay."
"Asher?"
"Yeah, he's a long-time friend of ours like Mai..." Trunks looked over at Mai for a brief moment, who was frowning in her sleep. He then looked away from her, looking back down at the map, and marked a spot. "Is he a good person like your girlfriend?" Elizabeth questioned, "Yeah, he is. He has helped us when we were in really rough times. He means a lot to Mai. I know that wherever those two are, they are just fine."
"Whose fine?" Mai groggily asked, she rubbed her eyes.
"Sorry, were we talking too loud?" Elizabeth apologized, "No, I wasn't having a very pleasant dream so I decided to get up." Mai yawned, stretching her arms as she sat up. "What were you two talking about?" She looked at Trunks, "I was telling Elizabeth about Tsu and Asher. She asked if I planned on looking for Tsubaki, which I said I would but first, we need to get Elizabeth and Yori out of the city since it's no longer safe."
"I agree. It's better this way." Mai nodded, "When do we leave?"
"In about an hour, we need time to eat and I have to figure out the best route for us to take to get to the lookout."
"The Lookout? What's that?" Elizabeth asked, looking between Mai and Trunks. Both seemed hesitant to fully explain what Kami's lookout was but Mai knew that Elizabeth needed to know exactly where they were headed. Trunks could tell by Mai's look that she would tell her anyway, "Mai," He started but she cut him off, "She should know what that place is. After all, most of the survivors were taken there because it's the safest place to be right now. All of West City is overrun with zombies and the only refugee camps that are available are way too far outside of West City. We're taking her and Yori to the Lookout." Mai snapped, Trunks let out a huff knowing that he couldn't win this argument. "Fine, tell her." Trunks waved his hand dismissively.

"Tsu," Asher spoke softly, he had just woken up to take the last watch while everyone else was still pretty much sleeping. Tsubaki had only slept for a couple of hours before Ally had woken her up to take a short nap. Tsubaki looked back over her shoulder, smiling softly as she saw her friend's face in the sunlight. She had been looking out of the window, down at the street which was now quiet and empty. She had only seen a few stragglers of zombies in the last few hours but they all seemed to be moving further out of the area, which only made her more curious as to what was causing this. Since then, they haven't been out much she had a feeling they wouldn't have too many problems when leaving this place.
"Hey," she said softly, "Have you slept any? You look like hell." Asher walked over to her, taking a seat beside her. "I got a couple hours of sleep before Ally woke me up. She was on watch for a good five hours." She explained, "You should go get some sleep. You're gonna need the energy since we'll be leaving soon to go find the rest of their family." Asher placed a hand on Tsubaki's shoulder, "I wouldn't be able to fall asleep even if I wanted to." She sighed, "You thinking about Trunks and Mai?" Asher asked, "Yeah... I can't help but worry about them, I know they can handle themselves but this is new. None of us still have completely gotten used to this whole situation." Tsubaki sighed, "Tsu, I know you are worried. Hell, I'm worried too. I'm scared of what's to come when we leave this place but we will get through this. And we'll find Trunks and Mai, they'll be just fine. So please, don't worry too much and get some sleep." Asher reassured her, giving her a gentle smile.
"Thanks, Asher."
"No problem, Tsu. What are friends for?" With that, Tsubaki dozed off peacefully staying in the same room Asher was keeping watch. He covered her with the blanket he had, giving her his pillow, and took a seat beside the window. "Please be alive... Trunks... Mai... Just hang in there and we'll find you, I promise." He thought, softly smiling at a memory he had of the three of them.
