˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Kat had never felt so out of place than when her and Nancy barged into the funeral home to find Jonathan.

It was possibly the most awkward thing Kat had ever experienced. The whole time, Jonathan was close to tears, he probably would've been crying if he weren't so confused.

The three sat in a hallway on a bench when Nancy showed him the photo. "It looks like it could be some kind of perspective distortion, but I wasn't using the wide angle." He hands the photo back to Nancy. "I don't know. It's weird."

"Are you sure you didn't see anyone else out there?" Kat asked again, she just couldn't believe that she might've driven past something like that.

"No," Jonathan answered. "And she was there one second and then, um...gone. I figured she bolted."

Nancy shook her head. "The cops think that she ran away," she explained. "But they don't know Barb." Nancy looked back at the picture. "And when we went back to Steve's...we saw something. It was some weird man or...I don't know what it was."

Suddenly, Kat snapped back into her senses, realizing what they were really doing. "I'm sorry. We—we shouldn't be here." She stood up to leave, ready to turn back without a second thought.

"What did he look like?"

Kat turned back around. "What?"

"This man you saw in the woods. What'd he look like?"

Kat shook her head. He wouldn't believe her if she told him what they really saw. "I don't know. It was almost like he...he didn't have—"

"Didn't have a face?" Jonathan seamlessly finished.

Even Nancy looked startled. "How did you know that?"
