˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ "Jesus, how far is this place, man?" Steve complained about ten minutes after they left the mall.
Dustin sighed from behind the driver's seat. "Relax. We're almost there."
"Suzie must be pretty special, huh?" Robin asked, almost shouting over the blasting radio. "I mean, if you built this thing and lugged it all the way to the middle of nowhere just to talk to her?"
"I mean, nobody's scientifically perfect, but Suzie's about as close to being perfect as any human could possibly be," Dustin responded, also shouting over the radio.
Erica scoffed. "She sound made up to me." She leaned forward, putting her head between the driver's and passenger's seats. "She sound made up to you two?"
Kat pressed her lips together, trying to find a nicer way to say 'she's absolutely made up'. Turns out, Steve couldn't find the right words either, so the two ended up staring at each other, their mouths open but no words coming out.
"Why are you hesitating, Steve?" Dustin snapped in his usual aggressive tone.
"I'm—I'm—I'm not! I'm not! I think she sounds real. You know, totally, absolutely real."
Kat nodded in agreement. "Yep, totally, totally real."
"Left! Turn left!" Dustin shouted.
"There's not a road here!"
"Turn left now!"
Steve jerked the wheel to the left, broke through a wooden fence as he accelerating up a steep hill.
