˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ "Couldn't we have tried a road or something less creepy?" Robin asked, taking a high step over a log so as not to attract any attention.

The group was walking through the Upside Down woods, the girls staying in a group and the boys in their own.

Kat shook her head, stepping over a slithering vine. "No, roads are too visible. I think we're getting close."

The ground started to shake in another earthquake, knocking Kat off of her feet. She held onto a tree, trying to say as low to the ground as possible. That time it felt stronger, like the Upside Down was warning them, telling them to leave.

"Second on my list of least favorite things," Robin shouted over the creaking of trees, "earthquakes. Seriously, I'm unsteady enough as it is."

Neither Kat or Nancy responded, for Nancy kept her eyes straight ahead and attempted to run despite the rumbling.

"Nancy, where are you going?!" Kat yelled, jumping up to follow her right as the earthquake ceased.

Kat stopped to find Nancy standing at the edge of the woods, staring at an abandoned, vine covered version of the Wheeler house, illuminated by the red lightning.

Nancy led the way to the front door, and everyone gingerly walked through the threshold, only able to see anything because of Steve's flashlight.

Through the beam of the flashlight, it illuminated  the white particles floating in the air. Kat tried to grab one; it felt...cold. What were they?

As Kat looked around the kitchen, she couldn't help but feel like something was off with it. It could've been the vines covering every surface, or there was something else wrong. Whatever it was, Kat did not want to be there longer than they had to.
