˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ After the previous day's...events, the whole gang decided to stay the night at Nancy's house. Safety in numbers, right?
It turned out that Robin was right on the money with her music theory, so when Max and Steve and everyone else were at the cemetery and Max was possessed by Vecna, it had saved her life.
To stay on the safe side, everyone took turns during the night to watch Max as she slept. Just in case.
Kat was sleeping on the carpeted floor, attempting to use her jacket as a blanket and a pillow. Due to the uncomfortable position she was in, every small sound woke her up.
A small static sound came from the walkie on the coffee table above her.
"Hey, Dustin, this is Eddie the Banished. You there?"
"Dustin, can you hear me?"
"Dustin?"
"Earth to Dustin."
Kat reached her arm up, feeling around the table until she could grab the walkie. Bringing it to her face, she said groggily, "Hey, it's Kat." She looked around to everyone still half asleep, contorted into armchairs and loveseats.
"Kitty Kat!" Eddie exclaimed from the other end, making Kat turn down the volume of the walkie. "Um, I'm gonna need another food delivery, like, really soon, unless you want me going out into the world."
Kat shook her head, even though he couldn't see her. "No, no, no, don't—don't do that, please. Stay where you are, and we'll be there later today, alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, um...can you pick me up a six-pack?"
