˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Everyone had moved to the basement, giving Will the chance to tell everyone his plan with the projector used for planning crawls.

Will touched a road with Kat's pointer. "The Turnbow's live here," he said, circling an area slightly above his head. "We wait in a van across the street, and as soon as they're asleep, we move in, grab Derek, and we take him"—Will pointed to another road, one almost all the way across town—"to here, the McCorkle farm. It's completely isolated, it's abandoned. But the only thing is, we need to make sure he doesn't see us or know where he is." Will took a breath in, seemingly unsure about the next thing he was going to say. "So we'll need to blindfold him."

Kat twisted up her face, it going without saying that she didn't think that was too good of an idea.

Clearly, Steve felt the same. He looked around at everyone else, his mouth wide open. "What?" he finally exclaimed.

"So that Vecna can't find him," Robin explained, somehow not fazed by the whole kidnapping a random child thing.

"Yeah, and, Mom, you're okay with just kidnapping a child?" Jonathan asked with a shrug, emphasizing the flaw of the plan.

Mrs. Byers waved Jonathan off. "No, we're saving a child via kidnapping," she corrected him.

"That would never hold up in court," Kat said, quickly realizing she ruined the situation with the comment since everyone turned to stare at her. She shrugged. "It's a Class A felony," she added quietly.

Dustin pushed himself off of the table he was leaning on, moving to the center of the room. "If I may, though I'm not morally opposed to any of this"—he shot a quick glance at Kat—"there are a few holes."

"Yeah," Lucas agreed. "Like what if Derek falls asleep before the Demogorgon attacks him?"

Dustin nodded. "That's one."
