˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Kat kept a tight grip on the strap of her rifle as the delivery truck jostled everyone around.
She steadied herself, hearing the faint sound of the buzz of an opening gate over the truck's rumbling engine.
They were in the MAC-Z.
The sound of automatic gunfire immediately ensued, coming from all different directions.
The truck slammed into a stop, a motion that would've launched Kat all the way across the back if it weren't for Steve holding her close, his arm snaked around her waist and pulled tightly to his.
That was Nancy's cue. She popped up through the hole made by a Demo, shooting at any military that was in their way. When she came back, Jonathan pulled open the back hatch, letting Hopper jump into the truck.
Murray whipped the truck in a half circle, heading for the gate.
Everybody lurched to one side, hanging onto shelves and walls like their life depended on it.
Steve pressed himself against the side of the truck, pulling Kat close again.
Finally, the truck steadied again, ensuring one thing. They were in the Upside Down.
Robin was still latched onto a shelf like a koala hangs onto a tree. "I kind of thought that was supposed to be the easy part," she pointed out, eyes wide and worried.
"It was," Lucas panted.

"Alright, lab rats, let's scurry up," he said. "An entire dimension's about to some crashing down on our heads." Murray gave a smile, turning to leave as Hopper, El, and Kali followed him.
