Vihaan's POV:
She was still, without any motion, like she was struck by lightning. Did something happen to her? Did she blank out?
Or that is what I thought until the fresh tears made their way out of her small eyes. Her mobile hit the ground and it kept ringing. She inched slowly towards me and I sighed rolling my eyes. Isn't she being dramatic now?
She ran towards me and knocked me out hugging me tightly. I, for a second, felt out of breath. Her legs are circled around my waist and her face is buried in my crook, I felt a shiver run down my spine. I felt my body going rigid after being hugged by someone like this. But it wasn't the warmth of her embrace that caused the goosebumps - it was the icy realization of her betrayal. Her touch, once a gentle caress, now felt like a suffocating vice.
" I missed you Vihaan..." She uttered softly sniffing against my neck. The goosebumps started to show up slowly and I felt disgusted by her touch.
"Stop it, Kanvi," I growled, my voice low and even, but laced with venom. "These cheap stunts won't keep me here."
Her grip faltered, and she slid down, her eyes locked on mine. The vulnerability in their depths only fueled my anger. How dare she pretend to be hurt when she was the one who had shattered my trust?
I glared at her, my hazel orbs blazing with a mix of disgust and fury. "You think a hug, a few tears, and a desperate cling can erase what you've done? You manipulated me, lied to me, and crushed me."
Her face crumpled, her lips trembling as she searched my eyes for a glimmer of the love we once shared or that is what she thought. But I was resolute, my heart fortified against her charms.
"Let me go, Kanvi," I whispered, my voice dripping with disdain. "I won't be held captive by your guilt trips and fake affection."
The tears streaming down her face only fueled my contempt. "Get a divorce, Kanvi," I warned, my voice dripping with malice. "End this battle before it's too late."
But she refused, her voice trembling. "Everyone is against it... even you."
I chuckled, the sound low and menacing. "Oh, I'm not against it, Kanvi. I'm just against you."
With a cruel swipe, I wiped away her tears, my fingers digging into her skin like claws. "You want to stay in this toxic marriage? Fine. But know this, I'll make your life a living hell. You have six months to leave me, to escape the wrath that's brewing inside me."
My eyes locked onto hers, burning with a malevolent intensity. "If you stay beyond that, I'll unleash a darkness upon you that will shatter your very soul. I'll take pleasure in your pain, Kanvi. I'll be the Satan you've created, feeding on your happiness, your tears, your screams."
My voice dropped to a whisper, each word a razor-sharp promise. "You'll beg for mercy, but I'll be the one holding the reins. You'll realize too late that the Vihaan you thought you knew was just a mask, a disguise for the monster I've become. And that monster will devour you whole."
Kanvi's eyes widened, horror etched on her face, but I just smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "So, my dear wife, choose wisely. Leave now, or suffer the consequences. The clock starts ticking... today."
Kanvi's words were laced with a desperate confidence, her voice trembling as she spoke. "If that's what you want, Vihaan, then you'll have to lose in your own game. I won't give up on this relationship or you. I loved the innocent Vihaan, and I'll love the monster I've turned you into, no matter how much it hurts."
My laughter was a cold, mirthless sound, sending shivers down her spine. "Oh, Kanvi, you foolish, masochistic woman. Do you think you can tame the monster? I'll show you the true meaning of pain, of suffering. You'll beg for mercy, but it will be too late."
