Author's POV:

Vihaan stood in the kitchen, moving at lightning speed as he prepared a simple yet healthy breakfast. He was already late for college, and the ticking clock only made him more frantic. He quickly plated toast with avocado and eggs, pouring a glass of fresh juice for Kanvi before grabbing his own.

"Eat properly, Ma Chérie," he reminded her as he scarfed down his food, standing by the counter.

Kanvi, curled up on the sofa, picked at her breakfast lazily, looking far too cozy in his oversized t-shirt and loose shorts. "I am eating, Professor Paranoia," she murmured between bites.

Vihaan shot her a look as he grabbed his bag. "I have every right to be paranoid. You're heavily pregnant, Kanvi. Any moment now, you could-"

She sighed, cutting him off mid-sentence. "Go into labor, I know, I know! You've told me like a thousand times."

"And I'll tell you a thousand more. Just-be careful, okay?" He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

Kanvi groaned, dramatically waving her fork at him. "I'll be fine! If anything happens, I'll call you. And if not you, then Archie or Vidharth Bhai."

Vihaan nodded, still unconvinced, before ruffling her hair. "Good girl."

She swatted at his hand. "Stop messing up my hair, I already look like a potato."

He chuckled, stepping back and blowing her a kiss. "My cutest potato."

Kanvi giggled as he opened the door, pausing for a second to give her one last lingering look before stepping out. The door clicked shut, and the house fell into a comfortable silence.

She finished her breakfast at a leisurely pace, sighing happily. The smell of Vihaan's cologne still lingered in the air, wrapping around her like an invisible hug. She sank deeper into the couch, her hands resting on her belly as she flipped to her favorite Turkish drama.

The soft hum of the television, the warmth of the morning sun streaming through the windows-it was all so peaceful. Before she even realized it, her eyelids grew heavy, and she drifted into a deep sleep.

She looked breathtaking as she slept, her face glowing with the undeniable radiance of pregnancy. Her long lashes cast delicate shadows on her cheeks, her lips slightly parted, her entire form wrapped in an aura of softness and serenity. The oversized t-shirt of Vihaan's swallowed her frame, making her look even more delicate, more his. With every breath, her chest rose and fell rhythmically, her hand resting protectively over her belly, instinctively cradling the life growing within her.

The home felt warm, filled with love and quiet anticipation. A scene straight out of a movie, where love wasn't just grand gestures, it was in the way the house still smelled like breakfast, the lingering warmth of Vihaan's goodbye kiss, and the peaceful glow of a woman loved beyond words.

A sharp pain stirred Kanvi from her peaceful slumber. At first, she ignored it, shifting slightly to get comfortable, but within minutes, the pain intensified. A thin layer of sweat formed on her forehead, and she clenched the cushion beneath her. Her breathing grew shallow as discomfort spread through her body.

She needed her phone.

Panic flared in her chest as she looked around, her vision hazy from sleep. Where was it? She struggled to stand, her swollen feet protesting with each step as she shuffled around the house, checking the couch, the kitchen counter, even under the pillows. Tears welled in her eyes as frustration bubbled up.

"Where is it?" she whimpered, clutching her belly as another wave of pain rippled through her.

She gave up with a small, helpless cry, her hands trembling as she wiped at her tear-streaked face. That's when her eyes landed on the landline. With unsteady fingers, she dialed Vidharth's villa.
