Author's POV:
Kanvi felt a sense of calm in the temple, but it was short-lived. As soon as she walked out, the same old thoughts crept back in, like a dark cloud following her. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she had done something wrong.
Kanvi thought to herself, "What was I thinking? I tried to sleep with Vihaan, but he loves Chloe. That's so cheap of me." She felt ashamed and embarrassed by her own actions. She thought she was better than that, but now she wasn't so sure.
She knew she had made a mistake by trying to trap Vihaan. She had let her desire for him cloud her judgment, and now she was paying the price. But even in her darkness, Kanvi refused to stoop to a new low. She wouldn't try to take Vihaan away from Chloe. She had some self-respect left.
Kanvi's mind was a battleground. Her thoughts were at war with each other. One moment she felt angry with herself, the next she felt sad. She couldn't escape the feeling that she had let herself down.
She felt like she was walking through a dark forest, with no light to guide her. Her heart was heavy, weighed down by her own regrets. She couldn't see a way out of this mess.
Kanvi's internal trauma was like a constant companion, always lurking in the shadows. She couldn't shake it off, no matter how hard she tried. It was a reminder of her own flaws, her own weaknesses. She felt like she was stuck in this rut, unable to move forward.
But even in this darkness, Kanvi held on to a glimmer of hope. She knew she could learn from her mistakes. She could grow and become a better person. She just needed to find the strength to keep moving forward.
Kanvi's hands trembled as she turned the key in the ignition, the engine roaring to life beneath her. She didn't know where she was going, didn't care. She just needed to escape the torment in her mind.
As she drove, her eyes blurred with tears, and the world outside became a fuzzy haze. She didn't see the deserted road, the lonely trees, or the figure standing in her path. All she saw was her own pain, her own regret.
A jolt of fear shot through her as she slammed on the brakes, her heart racing with the thought of what she might have done. She stumbled out of the car, her legs shaking, and rushed towards the figure.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no...I'm so sorry!" she mumbled, her words tumbling out in a frantic apology.
But as she reached the figure, she saw it was a man, standing tall and unharmed. Kanvi's mind reeled in confusion, her thoughts tangled in a web of fear and guilt.
She couldn't think straight, couldn't see clearly. All she knew was the overwhelming sense of dread that had been building inside her for so long. It was a weight that pressed upon her chest, making it hard to breathe, and hard to think.
Kanvi's eyes searched the man's face, pleading for forgiveness, pleading for solace. But all she saw was a stranger, a man who didn't know her pain, her trauma. And in that moment, she felt utterly alone.
As Kanvi stumbled out of the car, her eyes blurry with tears, she saw two men standing before her. One of them, a tall, slim figure with a sly grin, spoke up.
"Blimey, love! You alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."
The other man, shorter and stockier, chuckled. "Yeah, or maybe she's just seen her own conscience."
Kanvi's eyes darted between them, her mind foggy. "I...I'm so sorry. I didn't see you. I thought I hit you."
The first man took a step closer, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, no, love. You didn't hit us. But you're definitely hit by something. Your emotions, perhaps?"
