Author's POV:
It's his birthday today and Kanvi looked super excited to see him. He left for India but all she could do was go to the place he was. She couldn't be angry with him. She tried, she tried her level best but all she wanted to do was feel his presence and make memories in this one month. And she is doing that. She flew all the 11 hours just to see him, one glimpse.
"Vihaan, I'm here." She messaged with a glint in her eyes when she reached the airport. Vihaan's mobile pinged and he chose to ignore it as he was in a desperate need to convince his client.
She wanted to surprise him. She kept on texting him asking him for his location. Finally giving up, she called the investigator once Ashu knew to find his address.
" He is at La Rosetta, ma'am." Her investigator informed her after 2 hours and she thanked him. She looked so enthusiastic after a week.
"Get ready Vihaan, I'm coming." She mumbled and made her way to his apartment. She looked for the key but she found it nowhere. She scratched her neck and sighed finally booking a hotel.
She had a warm bath and dressed herself in the modest clothes she owned. She sprayed some warm perfume and dossed her lips with some lip gloss.
" No doubt you are going to let your husband celebrate his birthday alone Kanvi beta." She chuckled looking at herself in the mirror.
She ordered a bouquet of red roses with a happy birthday and I love you note in it. She knew she was never tired of letting him know how much she loved him but she also accepted that he loved someone else and he rightfully deserved them.
" Let's meet your husband Kanvi." She mumbled and locked the room door. She booked a cab and made her way towards the cafe. She doesn't even want her parents to know that she is in India. The smile never took the name to leave her lips.
She tried her luck and messaged him again asking where he was. The driver stopped the car in front of the cafe and she got down carrying the bouquet and the clutch. Her smile slowly dropped as he didn't see her message.
While on the other hand, Vihaan gave up trying to convince his client. He is tired of handling a 60-year-old whiney woman. She doesn't seem to respect his choices and always wants her way and Vihaan knows there is no better option than letting this deal slip his fingers and that is what he exactly did. He let her go but not before giving her a piece of his mind.
Chloe had this beautiful smile and she patted Vihaan's back. She is proud of her boss. She felt that Vihaan had changed a lot ever since he was married to Kanvi and sometimes she chuckles thinking how she cursed him to get someone whom he'd never love.
"Why are you smiling like a goof?" Vihaan asked Chloe a bit irritated.
" I was just thinking, how the bloke who rejected me had now found his love." She chucked and a small smile bloomed on Vihaan's lips. He rolled his eyes and Chloe mumbled Cute.
" She'd turned you into a proper love-struck plonker," Chloe smirked and Vihaan glared. He had enough of her teasing him and him blushing.
Vihaan ordered them a light lunch savouring them reminiscing about the loss they just encountered.
" He might want some alone time with him Kanvi. That is why he is not seeing your messages or his mobile might be on silent mode. Why would he intentionally ignore your messages? He may not love you but it's not like he doesn't care about you. Surprise him." She suggested herself trying to pacify herself.
She opened the door and looked around her for her husband but her gaze stopped at the corner seat where there was her husband, with some other woman. They were laughing and having their lunch.
