Kanvi's POV:

I woke up around 4 o'clock where the sky was still dark, the clouds smeared the colours of the darkest blues. Somewhere lying between the black and the deepest blue. I walked to the balcony and the mild wind gusted across my face pulling the hair over my face. I took a deep breath of the fresh air and walked to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and pulled my hair into a pony.

I changed myself into the activewear and put the shoes on. I locked the door and carried my water bottle leaving my mobile inside the house.

As I stepped out of the skyscraper's lobby, the crisp winter air enveloped me, its chilliness invigorating my senses. The morning was still in its infancy, the clock barely ticking past 4:30. The sky above was a deep shade of indigo, with hues of purple and pink bleeding into the horizon.

I took a deep breath, feeling the cool air fill my lungs, and began my descent down the deserted streets. My feet pounded the pavement in a rhythmic run, the only sound in the stillness of the morning.

As I ran, the city slowly awakened around me. Birds, hidden in the bare branches of trees, began to chirp their morning melodies. The sweet trills and tweets filled the air, a symphony of joy and freedom.

The fog, which had rolled in overnight, swirled around my feet, casting an ethereal glow on the wet pavement. The streetlights, still aglow, cast long shadows behind me, making me feel like a solitary figure in a deserted world.

I felt alive, my senses heightened as I ran through the winter wonderland. The cold air stung my cheeks, but I welcomed it, feeling it seep into my bones and awaken my spirit.

As I turned a corner, the sky lightened, and the stars began to fade. The moon, a silver crescent, hung low in the sky, casting a gentle glow over the city. I felt small yet connected to the universe, my footsteps a tiny but vital part of the grand symphony of life.

At this moment, everything felt perfect – the weather, the city, the music of the birds, and the rhythm of my footsteps. I was one with the world, my heart full of joy and my soul at peace.

I settled onto the bench, my legs welcoming the rest after my run. I unscrewed my trusty sipper and took a refreshing sip of water, feeling it trickle down my parched throat. Leaning back, I closed my eyes, letting the cool morning air wash over me.

But as I sat there, my mind began to wander. Memories of Vihaan flooded my thoughts, and I couldn't help but think of the graduation ceremony. I had messaged him so many times, asking if he would be there, but there was only silence. No reply, no acknowledgement. It was as if he had vanished into thin air.

A sigh escaped my lips as I thought about it. Why did I even bother? I knew he had moved on, that he was gone from my life. But a part of me still held onto the hope that he would come back, that he would be there to celebrate this milestone with me.
