Author's POV:

Dr. A paced back and forth in his cabin, his eyes fixed on the patient's file in his hand. "Dr. Blue, we can't delay this surgery any further. The patient's condition is deteriorating by the hour."

Anvi shook her head firmly. "I understand the urgency, but night surgeries are notorious for worse outcomes. We can't risk it."

Dr. A stopped pacing and turned to face Anvi. "We don't have a choice. The patient has a ruptured arteriovenous malformation in the brainstem. If we don't operate now, she'll bleed out."

Anvi's expression remained resolute. "I understand the risks, but we can't ignore the statistics. Night surgeries have higher complication rates, longer hospital stays, and increased mortality rates. We need to wait until morning."

Dr. A's voice rose in frustration. "We can't wait! The patient's life is slipping away. We need to act now."

Anvi stood her ground. "I won't let you rush into this, Dr. A. We need a multidisciplinary approach. Let's consult the vascular surgeon, Dr. Smith and the neuroradiologist Dr. Lee. They can help us make an informed decision."

Dr. A threw up his hands. "Fine! But every minute we waste increases the patient's risk. Get them here, now!"

Anvi quickly picked up the phone and dialled, her voice calm and authoritative. "Dr. Smith, we need your expertise in a possible AVM case. Can you come to Dr. A's cabin ASAP?"

As they waited for the specialists to arrive, the tension in the room was visible. Dr. A's face was determined, while Anvi's eyes remained firm, her jaw clenched in resolve.

The door burst open, and Dr. Smith, with a kind face, entered, followed by Dr. Lee.

"Let's get down to business," Dr. A said, his voice still laced with urgency. "We have a patient with a ruptured AVM in the brainstem. Dr. Blue here is hesitant to assist me tonight."

Dr. Smith's eyes narrowed as he scanned the patient's file. "I agree with Dr. Blue. Night surgeries are risky. But we can't ignore the patient's condition either."

Dr. Lee spoke up, her voice measured. "I've reviewed the patient's imaging. The AVM is complex, but I think we can manage it with a multidisciplinary approach."

The four doctors engaged in a heated discussion, debating the merits of immediate surgery versus waiting until morning. Dr. A and Dr. Smith argued for urgent action, while Anvi and Dr. Lee cautioned against the risks of night surgery.

As the debate raged on, Anvi's mobile rang persistently, piercing the tense atmosphere. Dr. Smith finally changed his verdict, "I'm afraid I must advise against surgery tonight. We must monitor the patient closely and reassess in the morning."

Dr. A's gaze narrowed, his eyes flashing with frustration as he turned to Anvi. She exhaled a sigh of relief, her shoulders sagging in reprieve.

But her respite was short-lived, as her mobile screen lit up with an incoming call from Vihaan. Her heart skipped a beat as she hesitated, her mind racing with nervousness.

"Anvi, I need to tell you something," Vihaan's voice trembled on the other end, his words laced with anguish.

Anvi's grip on the phone tightened, her knuckles white with tension. "What is it, Vihaan? What's happened?"

Vihaan's words spilt out in a rush, "Kanvi...she was attacked...I found her...oh, Anvi, I was so scared...I didn't know what to do..."

Anvi's world went numb, her mind reeling in horror. A shiver coursed down her spine as she struggled to process Vihaan's words.
