Author's POV:

Kanvi's fingers trembled as she dialled Vidharth's number, her eyes fixed on Vihaan's battered form. The phone rang only once before Vidharth's voice came on, warm and reassuring.

"Kanvi, what's wrong?" he asked, his tone instantly alert.

Kanvi's composure broke, and she burst into tears, the words tumbling in a frantic rush. "Vidharth Bhai, they kidnapped us...they beat Vihaan so badly...I don't know what to do..."

Vidharth's voice was calm and steady in the midst of chaos. "Kanvi, listen to me. You need to get Vihaan to the hospital, right now. Can you do that for me?"

Kanvi nodded, even though Vidharth couldn't see her. She looked around, her eyes taking in the scene before her. The men who had kidnapped her were groaning on the ground, their faces twisted in pain.

With a sense of fear, Kanvi approached them, her eyes scanning their bodies for any sign of the car keys. One of them, a burly man with a cruel grin countered with pain, looked up at her, his eyes narrowing.

"Where are the car keys?" Kanvi demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.

The man just laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. Kanvi's heart sank, but she refused to give up. She spotted a glint of metal in the man's pocket and, with a surge of adrenaline, she reached into his pocket and grabbed the keys.

The man howled in pain as Kanvi's fingers brushed against his injured side. She didn't care. She had the keys, and she was going to get Vihaan to the hospital.

With the keys clutched in her hand, Kanvi turned and ran back to Vihaan, her heart pounding in her chest.

Kanvi cradled Vihaan's limp form in her arms, her eyes pleading with him to stay conscious.

"Vihaan, please," she whispered, her voice trembling with fear. "Stay with me, just a little longer. We're almost at the hospital."

She wrapped Vihaan's arm around her neck, using all her strength to support his heavy frame. Every step felt like a struggle, her legs trembling beneath her. But she refused to give up, her determination fueled by her love for Vihaan.

As they reached the car, Kanvi ignited the engine, her hands shaking as she put the car in gear. She floored it, speeding through the crowded streets with a recklessness that would have been terrifying if she hadn't been so desperate.

She broke every signal, honking the horn to clear a path through the heavy traffic. Cars screeched to a halt as she sped past, their drivers shouting curses that Kanvi ignored.

Vihaan's eyes flickered open, his gaze locking onto Kanvi's face. A faint smile played on his lips, and Kanvi's heart skipped a beat. "Kanvi," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Tears streamed down Kanvi's face as she drove, her eyes fixed on the road ahead. She honked the horn again, the sound echoing through the streets as she sped towards the hospital.

The traffic was heavy, the cars crawling along at a snail's pace. But Kanvi refused to slow down, her foot heavy on the accelerator. She weaved in and out of the traffic, her heart pounding in her chest.

And then, suddenly, the hospital loomed ahead, its bright lights were the hope in the darkness. Kanvi's heart leapt with relief as she screeched to a halt outside the emergency entrance.

She leapt out of the car, her arms wrapped around Vihaan's limp form. "Help!" she screamed, her voice echoing through the hospital corridors. "Someone, please help!"

Vihaan's smile was weak, but it was enough to break Kanvi's heart. "This time, I saved you," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I stood by my promise. I didn't let them hurt you, Kanvi. Not even a scratch."
