***author's pov***

As Daksh rushed to get dressed, a cold wave of fear washed over him. His hands trembled slightly as he fumbled with his shirt buttons, the realization sinking in-what if Arjun found out about the girl in his room? Arjun was strict when it came to the family's reputation and the way they were perceived. The idea of his older brother discovering him in such a compromising situation sent a shiver down his spine.

He glanced toward the bathroom, where his girlfriend was quickly getting dressed, oblivious to the weight of the situation. Daksh's mind raced, trying to think of a way to prevent Arjun from finding out. The thought of facing his brother's anger, combined with the potential fallout of such a discovery, made his stomach knot with anxiety.

Daksh knew that Arjun wouldn't just be angry-he'd be disappointed, and that was worse. Arjun had always been the one to keep the family in line, to uphold the strict standards that came with their name. Daksh, on the other hand, had always been the wild card, pushing boundaries and testing limits. But this time, he had gone too far.

"What am I going to do?" Daksh muttered under his breath, his mind spinning. He needed to think quickly. Perhaps he could sneak his girlfriend out before Arjun arrived, or maybe come up with a convincing story to explain her presence. But deep down, he knew that lying to Arjun would only make things worse.

His heart pounded as he made his way to the door, his thoughts a chaotic mix of panic and regret. For all his bravado and carefree attitude, the prospect of Arjun's judgment was something Daksh wasn't ready to face. As he paused with his hand on the doorknob, he took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

The door was his last barrier before facing whatever was about to come. Daksh knew he had to act fast, but the fear of being caught had him frozen in place, his mind a whirlwind of possibilities and consequences.

Daksh's heart raced as he saw Arjun's tall figure approaching from the end of the hallway. The sight of his older brother, with his ever-present aura of authority, sent a fresh jolt of anxiety through him.

Thinking quickly, Daksh quietly locked his room door behind him, hoping that it would prevent any unwanted discoveries, at least for now. He took a deep breath, trying to compose himself, and forced a casual smile onto his face as he walked toward Arjun, determined not to let his nerves show.

"Morning, big brother," Daksh greeted, his voice light, trying to sound as if nothing was out of the ordinary. He kept his posture relaxed, despite the tension buzzing just beneath the surface.

Arjun, however, wasn't fooled by Daksh's attempt at nonchalance. His sharp eyes immediately noticed the unease in his younger brother's demeanor. He slowed his pace as he neared Daksh, his expression a mix of scrutiny and concern.

"Daksh," Arjun began, his tone even but with an underlying edge that Daksh knew all too well. "Why were you locking your room?"

Daksh's mind raced for an excuse. "Just... didn't want anyone to mess with my stuff," he said with a shrug, hoping to sound convincing. "You know how Rudra can be-always snooping around."

Arjun's eyes narrowed slightly, not entirely buying the explanation but deciding to let it slide for the moment. He was more interested in the bigger picture-Daksh's behavior had been growing increasingly reckless, and this morning's events only added to his concerns.

"We need to talk," Arjun said, cutting straight to the point. "I've been noticing a lot of things, Daksh, and it's time we addressed them."

Daksh nodded, trying to keep his cool. "Sure, what's on your mind?"

Arjun glanced at the locked door behind Daksh, his instincts telling him there was more to the story. But for now, he let it go, deciding to handle one issue at a time. "Let's talk somewhere more private," he suggested, leading Daksh away from his room and down the hallway.
