***author's pov***

After the chaotic day, Payal decided to seek solace in the library. It was her favorite place to escape from the noise and focus on her studies. She walked in, noticing the familiar quiet and rows of bookshelves.

She found a quiet corner and set up her study materials—textbooks, notebooks, and a laptop. The peace of the library provided her with a sense of calm that she desperately needed.

Immersing herself in her work, she tried to concentrate on her assignments and readings. The library’s quiet environment helped her focus better, and she was slowly regaining her composure after the earlier drama.

Just as Payal was getting into the rhythm of studying, she heard the library door open. She looked up to see Rayansh walking in. He spotted her and approached with a friendly smile.

"Hey Payal, I didn’t expect to see you here. I thought you might need some company after today."

She looked up, a bit surprised but appreciated his gesture. "Hey Rayansh. Just needed some time to myself. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed."

Rayansh took a seat across from her. "I understand. If you want, I can help you with your studies or just keep you company."

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "That would be nice. I could use a break from all the stress."

: He began to help her with some of her difficult subjects, explaining concepts and answering questions. Their interaction was calm and focused, providing Payal with a much-needed distraction from the earlier tension.

As they worked together, Rayansh tried to lighten the mood with casual conversation. "So, how’s everything going with the camp preparations? Excited about it?"

She sighed, "I guess. I’m more focused on catching up with my studies right now. The camp should be a nice break, though."

: "Well, I’m sure it’ll be fun. And if you need anything, whether it’s help with your studies or just someone to talk to, I’m here."

She smiled, feeling grateful for his support. "Thanks, Rayansh. I really appreciate it."

As the library’s closing time approached, Rayansh helped Payal pack up her things. "Ready to head out?"

"Yeah, let’s go." She gathered her books and stood up, feeling more at ease thanks to Rayansh’s company.

As they left the library together, Rayansh glanced at Payal. "See you tomorrow. And don’t let today’s drama get to you too much."

"I’ll try not to. Thanks for being there, Rayansh." Payal smiled

As she was walking towards the exist, but a hard hand pulled her Inside the Washroom

Daksh’s grip was firm as he pulled Payal into the washroom, his face a mix of frustration and anger. "What’s the deal with you and Rayansh? Why is he always around you?"

Payal’s eyes widened in shock. She tried to pull her wrist free, her voice trembling. "Daksh, what are you doing? Let me go!"

He pressed her back against the wall, his eyes locked on hers. "I saw him holding your hand. What’s going on between you two? Are you trying to make me look like a fool?"

She shook her head, her voice rising with frustration. "Nothing is going on, Daksh. Rayansh is just a friend helping me with my studies. It’s none of your business!"

His jaw clenched as he leaned closer. "None of my business? You’re making me look bad in front of everyone. I don’t like seeing you with him."

Her voice was firm as she tried to maintain her composure. "I’m not here to cater to your insecurities. I have my own life and my own friends."

His frustration grew as he stared at her, feeling a mix of anger and something deeper he wasn’t ready to admit. "You just don’t get it, do you? You can’t just walk around like everything’s fine."

She took a deep breath, trying to keep her calm. "Please, Daksh. This isn’t about you. I need to focus on my studies and my own life. Just let me go."

His grip loosened slightly, but he still looked conflicted. "I don’t want to see you with him. It’s not right."

She took the opportunity to pull her wrist free and step back. "I can’t deal with this right now. I need to go."

Daksh’s hand tightened around her waist, pulling her close. His voice was low but intense. "I need you to understand something, Payal. I will never like you."

Payal’s breath hitched as she felt the heat of his body against hers. "What are you talking about, Daksh?"

His eyes bore into hers, frustration evident. "Stop trying to make me jealous with Rayansh. It’s not going to work. I’m not interested in you."

She tried to push him away, her voice strained. "Let go of me! You’re being ridiculous. I’m not trying to make you jealous."

He pulled her closer, his tone commanding. "Then why does it seem like you’re always around him? I don’t want to see you with him. It’s driving me crazy."

She looked up at him, her frustration boiling over. "I’m not your property, Daksh. I’m allowed to have friends. If you can’t handle that, then that’s your problem."

His grip loosened slightly, but his expression remained conflicted. "I don’t know why this bothers me so much. Just stop it."

She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "You need to deal with your own issues. I can’t keep up with your moods. Let me go."

Daksh’s laughter was cold and derisive as he looked at Payal. "You know, Payal, your body can’t lie. I can see how your breath gets heavier when I touch you, your face is flushed red and your body is Shivering. "

Payal’s eyes widened in shock, her face flushing with embarrassment and anger. "How dare you say that? You have no right to judge my reactions."

He stepped closer, his tone sharp. "Don’t play games with me. I know how you feel, even if you try to hide it you can't hate me nerd , i won't let you ! ."

She struggled to keep her voice steady, though her heart raced. "You’re delusional if you think you can control how I feel or who I interact with."

His gaze was unwavering as he challenged her. "Then why did you react that way? If you truly didn’t care, you wouldn’t have such a reaction."

Frustration bubbled up inside her, and she pushed him away with all her strength. "Stop making everything about yourself. I’m not going to play your games."

He stumbled slightly from her push but remained resolute. "Fine. Keep telling yourself that. Just remember, I’m watching."

With a final, exasperated look, she turned and walked out of the washroom, leaving Daksh behind. She needed to escape the charged atmosphere and clear her head.

As Payal left, Daksh’s laughter faded, replaced by a frown. He was left alone, grappling with his own complex emotions.

The encounter between Payal and Daksh left both of them in a state of emotional turbulence, each struggling with their feelings and the tension between them.
