Aayara clutched her grocery bags a little tighter as she walked down the quiet street toward her home. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the pavement, and a cool breeze rustled the trees lining the road. She had taken this route countless times before, but tonight, something felt different-an uneasy feeling that settled in her stomach.
As she rounded a corner, Aayara noticed a group of boys standing a little way ahead. They were leaning against a wall, their voices low but their laughter carrying through the air. She tried to keep her eyes forward, hoping to pass by unnoticed, but as she drew closer, one of them spotted her and nudged the others.
Her heart began to race as they started to move toward her, their expressions shifting from casual to something more predatory. The street seemed suddenly empty, and the distance between her and her home felt far too great.
"Hey, pretty girl, where are you going?" one of them called out, his tone mocking.
Aayara quickened her pace, her pulse pounding in her ears. Fear gripped her as she realized they were following her, their footsteps growing louder behind her. She wanted to run, to scream, but the words caught in her throat, and her legs felt like lead.
The leader of the group, a tall boy with a smirk on his face, stepped in front of her, blocking her path. "Why are you in such a hurry? Stay and chat with us."
Aayara's breath hitched, her eyes darting around for any sign of help, but there was no one in sight. She felt trapped, the weight of the situation pressing down on her as the boys closed in, their sneers making her feel small and vulnerable.
"Please, let me go," she managed to say, her voice trembling.
But the boys only laughed, their intentions clear. The fear in Aayara's eyes seemed to amuse them, and they took another step closer, surrounding her. She could feel her hands shaking, the groceries slipping slightly from her grip.
Just as panic began to overwhelm her, a loud shout echoed from further down the street. The boys paused, turning to see who had called out. Aayara's heart leaped with a mix of hope and fear as she strained to see who it was.
Rudra had just finished a long day at work and was driving back to the mansion, his thoughts focused on unwinding and preparing for his secret racing event later that night. As he approached the street leading to the mansion, he noticed a commotion up ahead. His sharp eyes caught sight of a group of boys surrounding a young girl, their behavior unmistakably aggressive.
Without a second thought, Rudra pulled the car to the side of the road and got out. His usual easygoing demeanor shifted to a serious, determined expression. He had always been protective of those in need, and witnessing this kind of mistreatment struck a nerve.
He walked briskly toward the scene, his confident stride and commanding presence quickly drawing the attention of the boys. As he approached, he could see the girl's terrified face and the boys' menacing postures. Rudra's jaw tightened, his focus narrowing on the leader of the group.
"Hey!" Rudra's voice was sharp and authoritative, cutting through the tension like a knife. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
The boys turned, momentarily stunned by the sudden intrusion. Rudra's imposing figure and no-nonsense tone were enough to make them hesitate. He was dressed in a sharp suit, but his commanding presence made it clear that he wasn't someone to be trifled with.
The leader of the group tried to put on a brave face but faltered under Rudra's intense gaze. "We were just... having a bit of fun."
Rudra's eyes narrowed. "This isn't 'fun.' You're harassing someone who clearly wants nothing to do with you. Get out of here-now."
