Diya: Her heart pounds as she runs out of the building, tears streaming down her face. She wipes them away, feeling a sharp pang of sadness and frustration. Her emotions are a tangled mess as she grapples with the reality of unrequited feelings.
She reaches a quiet spot outside, leaning against a wall, trying to compose herself. She takes deep breaths, trying to calm the storm inside her.
Diya Sobbed softly, she asks the empty night, "Why can't I be the woman he loves?" Her voice trembles with the weight of her unfulfilled desires and the pain of realizing that her feelings may never be reciprocated.
She sinks to the ground, her tears soaking her clothes, as she struggles to come to terms with the harsh reality of her situation.
Diya: Her thoughts swirl as she recalls Rudra’s words about someone being on his mind. The realization hits her with a sharp pang. "So, there is someone else," she murmurs through her tears. "I was just a friend to him, nothing more."
Her shoulders slump as she tries to process the painful truth, feeling a deep ache in her chest.
Rudra: His voice was concerned as he reached out to Diya after noticing her distress. "Diya, where are you? I need to talk to you. Please, come back to the office."
Diya: She hesitated, her voice trembling as she responded. "Rudra, I... I don’t think there’s anything more to say. I heard you. I understand."
Rudra: He sighed, feeling a pang of regret. "No, Diya, you don’t understand. I want to explain... Please, just come back."
Diya, despite her heartache, reluctantly made her way back to the office.
Diya: She re-entered the office with a composed smile, her earlier tears hidden behind a mask of innocence. "I'm back, Rudra. What did you want to talk about?"
Rudra: He looked at her, concerned yet trying to maintain his professional demeanor. "Diya, I’m sorry if I upset you earlier. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. It’s just that I’ve been thinking about some personal matters."
Diya: She nodded, forcing a calm tone. "It’s okay, Rudra. I understand. We all have personal matters to deal with."
Rudra: He studied her face, trying to gauge her true feelings. "If you ever need to talk or if there’s anything you want to share, I'm here. I value our friendship, Diya."
Diya: She managed a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Rudra. I appreciate that. I’m here for you too."
Despite the underlying sadness, Diya’s smile remained genuine, reflecting her attempt to maintain normalcy.
He wrapped Diya in a warm hug, gently stroking her hair. "Diya, you’ve been the best friend I've had since childhood. I truly value your presence in my life."
Diya: She felt the warmth of his embrace, her heart aching slightly as she hugged him back. "Thank you, Rudra. It means a lot to me to hear that."
Rudra: He pulled back slightly, looking into her eyes with sincerity. "I know I’m not always the best at showing it, but I really do appreciate everything you do for me."
Diya: She forced a smile, her eyes betraying a hint of sadness. "I know, Rudra. I’m just glad to be here for you, always."
Rudra nodded, sensing the emotional undercurrent but unaware of its depth, and they continued their conversation with a renewed sense of understanding.
Diya: She shifted the topic, trying to mask her lingering sadness. "So, about the race tonight—how are you feeling about it? Any last-minute preparations?"
Rudra: He brightened a little, grateful for the change of subject. "Yeah, I’ve been reviewing the plans and making sure everything is in order. Sahil Khurana's letter was unsettling, but I'm not letting it shake my confidence."
Diya: She nodded, offering him a reassuring smile. "You've got this, Rudra. You've always been amazing at what you do. Just remember to stay focused and stay safe."
Rudra: He appreciated her support, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thanks, Diya. Your encouragement means a lot. I’ll do my best to make sure we come out on top."
They continued discussing the race, with Diya providing her support and Rudra sharing his strategies, the earlier tension easing into a more comfortable camaraderie.
Diya: Her tone became serious. “Rudra, I know you’re focused and confident, but I have to warn you about Sahil Khurana. He’s not just any competitor; he’s known for playing dirty when he feels threatened. You should be prepared for anything.”
Rudra: His expression grew serious as he listened to Diya. “I appreciate the heads-up, Diya. I’m aware of his reputation, and I’m taking every precaution to ensure the race is fair. I’ll be on high alert tonight.”
Diya: Nodding, she looked at him with concern. “Just be extra careful. If you notice anything unusual or if something feels off, don’t hesitate to pull back or call for help. Your safety is the most important thing.”
Rudra: He gave her a reassuring smile. “Thanks for looking out for me. I’ll make sure to stay sharp and take your advice to heart. I’ll keep you updated.”
Diya: Smiling slightly, she gave him one last piece of advice. “Remember, you’ve got this. And no matter what happens, I’m rooting for you.”
With a final encouraging nod, Diya left, her concern evident but her support unwavering.
