***author's pov***
After breakfast, Arjun stood up, his eyes flicking toward Aayara with an unspoken command. He motioned subtly for her to follow him, his expression cold and unreadable. Aayara hesitated for a moment, her heart racing. She could sense that something was brewing in his mind.
Without a word, she rose from her seat and followed him, her footsteps soft and tentative as they ascended the stairs to his room. Once inside, Arjun closed the door behind them, the soft click of the lock sending a shiver down her spine.
He turned to face her, his gaze intense, arms crossed over his chest.
Arjun (sternly): "I didn't appreciate what happened last night. You're getting too bold, Aayara. It seems like you're forgetting your place."
Aayara's breath hitched, her mind flashing back to the heated exchange from the night before. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. The tension in the room was thick, his presence overpowering.
Aayara (nervously): "I... I didn't mean to..."
Arjun stepped closer, cutting her off with a raised hand. His eyes darkened as he moved within inches of her, towering over her smaller frame.
Arjun (coldly): "I don't care about your intentions. What I care about is that you understand who's in control here."
He grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer to him. His breath was warm against her cheek as he spoke, his voice laced with authority.
Arjun (softly but firmly): "You don't get to defy me, Aayara. You belong to me now, and you'll do as I say. Understood?"
Aayara's body tensed under his grip, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt trapped, powerless against his overwhelming presence. She managed a nod, her voice barely a whisper.
Aayara (shakily): "Yes... I understand."
Arjun smirked, satisfied with her submission. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing the shell of her ear as he whispered.
Arjun: "Good. Now, show me you've learned your lesson."
The command hung in the air between them, and Aayara could feel the heat rising in her cheeks. She knew she had no choice but to comply, the weight of the contract and her father's fate still looming over her.
This was just the beginning of her life as Arjun's possession, and she knew there was no escaping his dominance.
Arjun's grip on her wrist tightened slightly as he pulled her even closer. The room felt suffocating, the tension building between them as he stared down at her, eyes filled with an intensity that made Aayara's pulse quicken.
His hand slid from her wrist to the small of her back, tugging her body against his chest. She gasped, her breath catching as she felt the hardness of his chest pressing against her softness. His touch was firm but controlled, a reminder that he was in charge of every moment between them.
Arjun (low, commanding): "You're mine now, Aayara. Everything about you belongs to me."
His other hand moved to her neck, fingers tracing a path up to her jawline. Aayara's breath hitched as his thumb brushed over her lips, teasing them open ever so slightly. She trembled under his touch, not daring to move or protest.
Arjun (softly, with a dangerous edge): "Don't fight it. You'll only make it worse for yourself."
His lips hovered near hers, their proximity igniting a strange fire inside her. She hated herself for how her body was reacting, for the way her skin tingled under his touch, betraying the storm of emotions she was desperately trying to suppress.
Slowly, deliberately, Arjun's lips claimed hers in a possessive kiss, one that left no room for hesitation or refusal. His kiss was rough, dominant, yet controlled, a clear display of who held the power between them. Aayara could barely breathe, her senses overwhelmed by the force of his presence.
Her hands instinctively moved to his chest, unsure whether to push him away or pull him closer. The moment felt surreal-confusing and intoxicating all at once. She had never experienced anything like this before, and it left her feeling exposed and vulnerable in ways she hadn't anticipated.
Arjun (murmuring against her lips): "You'll learn to obey, Aayara. Whether you like it or not."
His words sent a shiver down her spine, and as he deepened the kiss, Aayara felt her resistance crumbling. There was no escape from him, not from the contract, not from his touch, and certainly not from the way he made her feel.
He pulled back slightly, his dark eyes scanning her face for any sign of rebellion. When he found none, he smirked, satisfied with the control he had over her. He gently tugged her closer again, his breath hot against her skin.
Arjun (softly, almost mocking): "Good girl."
Aayara felt her knees weaken at the phrase, knowing that her life with Arjun was only beginning, and with it came the terrifying realization that she might never escape his grasp.
