Vishal nodded, his voice firm. "Meera aunty is right! Let Rudra marry Dia!"
Rudra's eyes widened in disbelief. "You can't be serious! Dia deserves someone who wants her, not just a marriage of convenience."
Arjun stepped forward, his expression fierce. "This is my life, and I will choose who I marry. Aayara is not a bargaining chip."
Meera's smirk widened. "But she is now, dear. You signed that contract, remember? Aayara's future is tied to this family, whether you like it or not."
Vishal shrugged, crossing his arms. "Too late for that. You're trapped in this web now. You can either accept it or make things harder for yourself."
The room was charged with tension. Arjun's determination was palpable as he glared at Meera. "Whatever happens, I'll make sure she's not alone in this."
Rudra clenched his fists, torn between loyalty to his brother and the anger boiling inside him. "This isn't over. I won't let you manipulate Dia like this."
Meera waved him off, clearly unfazed. "You'll see. Everything will work out in our favor."
As the conversation continued, the weight of their decisions hung heavily in the air, setting the stage for a conflict that was far from resolved.
Arjun sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine, Vishal. Rudra will marry Dia. I'm only doing this for our families' friendship over the years."
Vishal nodded, a satisfied smile creeping onto his face. "Thank you, Arjun. This will restore our families' honor."
Rudra clenched his jaw but remained silent, knowing better than to argue further. He shot a glance at Aayara, who stood quietly, her eyes wide with confusion and fear.
Meera chimed in, her tone patronizing. "See? Everything is falling into place. Aayara, you should be grateful. You'll have a place in our family, even if it's not what you envisioned."
Arjun turned to Aayara, his expression softening slightly. "I'll make sure you're treated well, Aayara. This isn't what I wanted either, but we'll figure it out together."
The weight of the moment pressed down on everyone as the reality of their situation sank in, creating a tangled web of emotions and unspoken fears.
Rudra groaned in frustration, his fists clenched. "Bhai! How could you agree to this?" he hissed, trying to keep his voice low. "Dia is my friend! How could I marry her?"
Arjun's eyes darkened as he looked at his younger brother. "Rudra, this isn't about what you want. This is about family. You think I wanted to marry under these circumstances? But I'm doing what's necessary for the business and the family's reputation. You will do the same."
Rudra stepped forward, his face contorted in anger. "But it's Dia, Arjun! She doesn't deserve this."
Arjun's expression didn't waver. "None of us deserve what we've been dealt, but we play the cards we're given. You're part of this family, Rudra. Don't forget that."
Rudra gritted his teeth, knowing there was no way to argue. The tension in the room was thick, but Rudra couldn't help the feeling of betrayal boiling inside him.
Aayara trembled, her body betraying her fear as the tension in the room escalated. Arjun, noticing her reaction, scoffed, a smirk playing on his lips. He looked at her with a mixture of disdain and amusement.
"Look at you, trembling like a leaf," he muttered under his breath. "You'll have to toughen up if you plan on surviving in this family."
His cold gaze lingered on her for a moment longer before he turned his attention back to the ongoing conversation, his face devoid of any empathy.
Rudra clenched his fists, glaring at Arjun. "You can't force her into this, Bhai! Dia and I are just friends, and this...this isn't right."
Arjun's smirk deepened, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, my dear brother, you're so naive. Dia likes you; we've all seen it. There's no way she wouldn't be thrilled about this news."
Rudra shook his head, still in disbelief. "You don't know that."
Arjun chuckled darkly. "Trust me, Rudra. There's no way she'll turn down the chance to marry into this family. She'll agree, whether you want it or not."
The sharp sound of glass shattering echoed through the room as Rudra's fist collided with the table. Shards scattered across the floor, but he didn't flinch. His chest heaved with anger, his eyes burning with rage as he glared at Arjun.
"You're playing with people's lives, Bhai!" Rudra growled, his voice low but laced with fury. "Dia deserves better than being a pawn in your game."
Arjun, unfazed, leaned back in his chair, his smirk still in place. "Control your temper, Rudra. Everything is for the good of our family. You'll thank me later."
Meera walked over to Rudra with a calm smile, her eyes glinting with hidden satisfaction. She gently placed her hand on his shoulder, her voice soothing yet condescending.
"Rudra beta, calm down," she said softly, though her smirk betrayed her true feelings. "Dia is a wonderful girl, and this marriage will be good for both families. You'll come to realize it's the right decision."
Rudra shook her hand off, glaring at her. "You don't get it, do you? This isn't just some business deal. People's feelings are involved."
Meera's smile faltered for a second before she regained her composure, still determined to play her part in the manipulation. "Sometimes, beta, we have to do what's best for the family, even if it doesn't seem right at first."
Rudra shoved Meera's hand off his shoulder forcefully, his frustration boiling over. Without saying another word, he stormed out of the mansion, his footsteps echoing through the halls.
Meera's smirk faded, replaced by a cold glare as she watched him leave. "Ungrateful," she muttered under her breath, turning her attention back to the others in the room.
Meanwhile, outside, Rudra paced in anger, his fists clenched, the cool night air doing little to calm his rage. He couldn't believe what was happening-being forced into something he didn't want, all for the sake of family reputation. The thought of marrying Dia, someone who was nothing more than a friend, gnawed at him.
He needed to clear his head. With one last glance at the mansion, he decided he needed space, away from all the manipulation and control.
