Arjun stumbled into the room, his movements unsteady but purposeful. Aayara peeked at him from under the blanket, her eyes widening slightly as he threw off his shoes and belt without care. Before she could react, he climbed into the bed beside her, pulling the blanket over himself and wrapping his arms around her.

She stiffened, unsure of how to respond. "A-Are you drunk?" she asked softly.

Arjun chuckled, his voice low and unsteady. "N-No... who said... I just wanted to hold you."

Her faint smile softened as she slowly wrapped an arm around his waist. "Hold me, then," she whispered.

He buried his face into her chest, his warm breath brushing against her skin as he mumbled, "I... I missed you... White."

Aayara froze. "Huh? Me?"

Arjun continued, his words slurred but heavy with emotion. "I missed having you... I... I was scared. For the first time... I was fucking scared that something would happen to you."

Her breath hitched as she listened, her fingers trembling slightly as they brushed his hair. "You... you were scared?"

"You asked... what you mean to me that night," he said, his voice cracking. "You mean everything... to me. Don’t ever leave me. I need you."

Tears welled in her eyes as she kissed the top of his head. "I missed you too," she whispered, her voice shaky. "I was angry and scared that I was worthless to you. That’s why I ran away... I didn’t know you missed me like this."

Arjun’s head snapped up, his tear-filled eyes locking with hers. "After everything I did to you? You still love me? You’re lying, aren’t you... like everyone else." His voice broke. "Maa said she loved me too... then she left me. And then when I thought I... I might have feelings for you... you ran away."

Aayara cupped his face, her thumbs gently wiping away his tears. "I’m sorry," she said, her voice firm yet tender. "I should have stayed. I love you, Arjun. How could I ever leave you?"

He sighed, his shoulders trembling. "Pyaar ek zehar hai, Aayara. Aur ye zehar ek din meri jaan le lega. I don’t know if I can give you the same pure love you’ve given me. I... I’m not capable of that."

Her faint smile returned as she leaned closer, her eyes unwavering. "I’ve waited long enough, Arjun. It’s time to show me who Rajshree’s son is—not the CEO, Arjun Oberoi Singhania."

His gaze softened, and he nodded, pulling her into a tight embrace. "I missed this... you. You feel like mine. I’ll try, Aayara... for you, for our son."

She rested her head against his, their breaths mingling in the quiet room. "We’ll try together, Arjun. Always."

Aayara opened her eyes slowly, feeling a warm weight around her. As her vision cleared, she found herself securely held in Arjun's embrace. She tried to move, but his grip tightened instinctively, pulling her closer.

"Let me sleep, baby," he murmured, his voice thick with sleep.

She raised her brows, her lips parting in surprise. "It's morning, Arjun. Get up!"

He sighed, his eyes fluttering open, meeting hers with a lazy smile. Instead of responding, he leaned in and began peppering her face with kisses.

Aayara gasped, her hands instinctively pressing against his chest. "A-Are you still drunk?"

Arjun chuckled, his laughter vibrating through her as he nuzzled his face into her neck, inhaling her scent deeply. "No, I’m not drunk."

Before she could say anything more, he pulled her by the waist, effortlessly lifting her to settle in his lap. His hands rested on her hips as his eyes traced her features, a mischievous glint dancing in his gaze.

"I’ve always wanted to do this," he confessed, his tone softer now, almost vulnerable. "But I couldn’t."

Her heart raced at his words, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. "D-Do what?" she asked hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.

He smirked, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear as he leaned in, their faces mere inches apart. "Hold you like this... wake up with you like this... just us. No walls, no distance."

Her breath hitched, and for a moment, the world outside seemed to fade, leaving just the two of them. "Arjun..." she murmured, her voice trembling.

He tilted his head, his gaze softening. "What?"

She bit her lip, her eyes searching his as she tried to gather her thoughts. But before she could speak, he pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, whispering, "You don’t have to say anything. I already know."

Her hands clutched his shirt tightly, her heart' swelling with an emotion she hadn't dared to anme until now . She rested her forehead against his . Silently vowing to herself that she wouldn't run away .
