As she wore a blue saree and shimmer accessories, she walked down to make Arjun's breakfast .
Dia was already in kitchen making something but as soon she looked at aayara her lips twitched in annoyance . She pushed the plates and walked away .
Aayara sighed as she watched Dia leave the kitchen without a word, her cold attitude lingering in the air. She could sense the tension between them—it had been building for a while, but this silent hostility was becoming unbearable. Aayara couldn’t help but wonder what had gone wrong between them.
She adjusted the pallu of her blue saree, taking a deep breath as she focused on preparing breakfast. Cooking had always been her way to clear her mind, to find a sense of control amidst the chaos. But today, even that felt heavy with unspoken words and complicated feelings.
Her mind kept wandering to Arjun. She knew she had to talk to him about going back to college, but the thought of confronting him made her stomach churn. His world was so different, so intense, and now she was tangled in it. Would he even understand how important her dreams were to her? Would he let her go back?
As she flipped the dosas on the pan, her thoughts raced. She had to stand her ground. This was her future—becoming a chef was all she had ever dreamed of, and she couldn’t let it slip away because of the confusing relationship she now found herself in.
But talking to Arjun… that was going to be a challenge. She could still feel the weight of his presence, the way he commanded her attention with just a look. A shiver ran down her spine as she remembered his smirk earlier, his words teasing her.
She couldn't let him intimidate her this time. She had to be strong, for herself.
Aayara took a deep breath, trying to shake off the tension from her earlier encounter with Arjun. She made her way to his room, the tray of breakfast feeling heavier with each step. As she reached his door, she hesitated for a moment, gathering her thoughts. This is important, she reminded herself. She needed to talk to him about college and her future.
Knocking softly, she heard his voice from inside. “Come in.”
As Aayara entered Arjun's room, the atmosphere was tense. He was seated at his desk, scrolling through his phone, seemingly indifferent to her presence. She approached him, tray in hand, her heart pounding slightly.
“Breakfast is ready,” she said softly, placing the tray on the table.
Arjun glanced up briefly, his expression cold and unreadable. “You can go to college from today,” he said flatly, his voice devoid of warmth.
Aayara’s breath caught in her throat. “Really?” she asked, a flicker of hope igniting within her.
He nodded, returning to his phone. “Yes. You’ve missed enough classes. It’s time you focus on your studies., i don't want people to say that Arjun oberoi's wife is a college drop out student.. it will ruin my reputation”
There was no hint of encouragement or support in his tone, just a detached acknowledgment of her need to return. The weight of his words hung in the air, and Aayara felt a mix of relief and frustration.
“Thank you,” she murmured, knowing that the gratitude felt hollow against his cold demeanor.
Arjun didn’t respond, his eyes still fixed on the screen, leaving her to grapple with the reality of her situation. Aayara turned to leave, feeling the chill of his indifference wrap around her like a heavy blanket.
Aayara stood in front of the mirror, taking a deep breath as she adjusted her black suit. The fabric hugged her frame perfectly, giving her a sense of confidence she desperately needed. She glanced at her reflection, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. Today was the day she would return to college after her unexpected absence.
As she carefully wiped away the sindoor from her hairline, a knot formed in her stomach. She couldn’t let anyone know about her marriage to Arjun. The thought of her friends asking about her sudden disappearance sent a shiver down her spine. Would they notice the change in her? Would they question her about her relationship?
Aayara removed her mangalsutra, placing it in a drawer with trembling fingers. She had worn it as a sign of her new life, but now it felt like a heavy burden. She couldn’t afford to have anyone in college knowing she was married to Arjun, especially given his reputation.
What will they think of me? she wondered. Would they see her as a different person? Aayara shook her head, pushing those thoughts aside. She needed to focus on her studies and her friends. She wanted to reclaim her identity, to be just Aayara, the aspiring chef, not Arjun's wife.
Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she grabbed her bag and headed out the door, determined to face whatever awaited her at college. As she stepped outside, she felt a wave of fresh air wash over her, igniting a flicker of excitement.
As Aayara made her way out of the mansion, she felt a mix of relief and apprehension. She had finally decided to confront Arjun about returning to college, knowing she couldn't let her dreams slip away. Just as she stepped outside, the men working for Arjun opened the car door for her, their expressions stoic and professional.
“Good morning, ma’am,” one of them said, offering her a nod as she slipped into the back seat.
The luxurious interior of the car enveloped her, but her mind was elsewhere, racing with thoughts of her conversation with Arjun. She could still hear his cold voice from earlier, stating that she could start attending college again from today. No need to repeat it each time, he had said, his tone dismissive, as if it were a trivial matter.
Aayara let out a soft sigh, knowing he wouldn’t understand how important this was to her. He was a man who thrived on control, a cold and calculating figure in her life. She couldn't shake the feeling that he viewed her ambitions as secondary to his world.
As the car pulled away from the mansion, she gazed out the window, her heart racing with the fear of failing her exams, but also with a flicker of hope. Maybe I can still make it work, she thought, steeling herself for whatever lay ahead in the day.
The city passed by in a blur, and as they approached the college, Aayara felt a mix of anxiety and determination. She knew she had to prove herself—not just to Arjun, but to herself.
