Daksh and his friends, Abhay and Ayush, reached the parking lot, their steps echoing in the nearly empty space. The cool breeze was a welcome contrast to the tension that had just unfolded. Daksh lit up a cigarette, taking a deep drag and exhaling a cloud of smoke.

"Can you believe that Rayash guy?" Daksh said, his voice tinged with frustration. "Always seems to be around Payal. And now he's getting all touchy with her."

Abhay took a puff from his cigarette and nodded. "Seems like he’s trying to stake his claim."

Ayush smirked, flicking the ash from his cigarette. "Well, it’s not like Payal's really your type anyway. You’re just messing with her to get under Rayash’s skin."

Daksh glanced at Ayush, irritation flashing in his eyes. "I don’t need a reason to mess with Rayash. And as for Payal, it’s about showing who’s in charge here. Besides, I can have anyone I want."

He took another drag from his cigarette, letting the smoke drift around him as he leaned back against his car, his expression a mix of arrogance and contemplation.

Abhay raised an eyebrow, looking at Daksh with a smirk. "So, do you actually like that nerd Payal, or is this just a game to you?"

Ayush chuckled, adding, "Yeah, man. You seem pretty worked up about her. Is there something more there, or are you just having fun at her expense?"

Daksh's face darkened slightly, his jaw tightening. He took a long drag from his cigarette before responding. "It’s not about liking her. It’s about control and showing that I can have whatever I want. Payal’s just another piece in that game."

Abhay and Ayush exchanged glances, sensing the underlying tension in Daksh’s tone. They nodded, accepting his answer but still feeling a hint of curiosity about the true nature of his feelings.

Daksh chuckled, shaking his head. "Who would like a nerd like her? She’s not my type at all. I just don’t like anyone thinking they can get close to what’s mine. It’s about showing who’s in control."

Abhay and Ayush laughed along with him, nodding in agreement. The conversation shifted as they continued to enjoy their time, the earlier tension fading as they focused on other distractions.

Daksh’s eyes narrowed as he watched Payal and Rayansh walking towards her car. Rayansh’s arm around Payal’s shoulder made Daksh’s jaw clench involuntarily. The sight of Rayansh touching her, coupled with the knowledge of Payal’s feelings for him, stirred a mix of irritation and possessiveness within Daksh.

As they reached the car, Daksh's mood darkened. He took a deep drag from his cigarette, watching them with a steely gaze, contemplating how he could reassert his dominance and show Payal—and everyone else—who she truly belonged to.

Abhay laughed, taking a drag from his cigarette. “Looks like Rayansh’s trying to mark his territory, huh?” he said, nodding towards Payal and Rayansh. “Guess he thinks he’s making a statement that Payal is his now.”

Daksh’s expression hardened as he watched Rayansh's arm around Payal. He didn’t like seeing her with anyone else, especially not with someone he considered an idiot. His irritation simmered beneath the surface, and he threw his cigarette to the ground, crushing it with his heel.

“Yeah, whatever,” Daksh muttered, his voice dripping with disdain. “He can try all he wants, but we all know it’s just for show.” He stared at Payal, his thoughts racing as he contemplated his next move.

As Payal looked at Daksh from her car window, he gave her a confident wink. Despite the smirk he wore, his eyes conveyed a mixture of challenge and disdain. It was clear he was trying to assert his dominance, even if just through a glance. Payal’s face flushed slightly, a mix of irritation and unspoken attraction flickering in her eyes. She quickly turned her gaze away, focusing on Rayansh, who was oblivious to the exchange.

Daksh watched as her car pulled away, feeling a surge of possessiveness. He knew he would have to deal with Rayansh and his own feelings for Payal, but for now, he relished the momentary satisfaction of seeing her reaction.

Daksh flicked the cigarette butt onto the ground and got into his car, the engine rumbling to life. As he drove away, his mind was consumed by the earlier encounter with Payal and Rayansh. The images of Payal’s annoyed yet interested expression and Rayansh’s possessive touch gnawed at him. He was determined to assert his dominance, knowing he needed to deal with his own feelings and ensure his rivals knew their place. The drive home was filled with a mix of frustration and resolve as he navigated through the city, plotting his next moves.

As Daksh arrived home, he sighed deeply, the weight of the day's events settling heavily on him. He parked the car and walked towards the mansion, his steps slow and contemplative. The grandeur of the Oberoi Singhania residence felt cold and distant, mirroring his mood.

Entering the house, he was greeted by the familiar, luxurious surroundings but found little solace in them. His mind kept replaying the scenes from college—the way Payal looked at him, Rayansh’s possessive behavior, and his own frustration.

He headed straight to his room, hoping that solitude might offer him some clarity or at least a temporary escape from the gnawing unease.
