Aayara's smile faltered as she entered the room, carrying the breakfast tray. The room was empty, and Arjun was nowhere to be found. Her heart sank, and confusion clouded her thoughts. He never skipped breakfast, especially when she made it.

“Did he leave for the office already?” she whispered to herself, glancing at the clock. It was still early, much earlier than he usually left. She bit her lip, setting the tray down on the table, the warmth and care she had poured into the meal feeling pointless now.

She glanced around the room, searching for any sign of his departure. The wardrobe was slightly ajar, his usual suit missing, and she noticed his laptop bag was gone too. It hit her that he had left in a hurry, without a word to her.

Aayara felt a knot form in her stomach. Had he left because of her? The memory of his coldness from last night resurfaced, his dismissive words, and how he had turned away from her when she needed him the most. She sighed, her shoulders sagging under the weight of her thoughts.

“He’s punishing me,” she whispered, the realization sinking in. Aayara’s fingers trembled as she touched the edge of the tray, her mind swirling with guilt and sadness. Arjun was hurt, and she had no idea how to fix things between them.

Determined not to let the day slip into more despair, she composed herself. “I’ll wait,” she told herself softly, trying to cling to a shred of hope. “He can’t stay angry forever… right?”

But as the silence of the room pressed down on her, she couldn’t shake the feeling that things had changed, and the road to healing was going to be much harder than she thought.

Aayara descended the stairs, her steps slow and heavy. As she reached the living room, she noticed Rudra sitting with his laptop, immersed in his work again. He looked exhausted, dark circles visible under his eyes, and yet he continued, barely giving his body a moment to rest.

Her gaze shifted to the tray in her hands. The food she had made with so much effort for Arjun was still warm, but her husband wasn’t there to eat it. She bit her lip, thinking. It wasn’t good to waste the food, especially after the care she had put into it.

With a sigh, she decided. Stepping towards Rudra’s room, she knocked softly before entering.

Rudra looked up from his laptop, his eyes widening slightly in surprise. "Bhabhi?" he asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.

Aayara smiled faintly, walking over to the table beside him and placing the tray of food down. "You should eat something," she said, her tone gentle but firm. "You’ve been working too hard again, Rudra. It's not good for your health to skip meals like this."

Rudra blinked, clearly taken aback by her gesture. He glanced at the tray, then back at Aayara. "This was for Bhai, wasn’t it?" he asked, his voice soft, sensing the situation.

She hesitated for a moment, her expression faltering slightly. "It was," she admitted, "but he left without saying anything, and it’s not right to let it go to waste. You need to take care of yourself too, Rudra."

He smiled, though there was a sadness in his eyes. "You're always thinking of others, Bhabhi," he said softly. "Thank you."

Aayara gave him a small nod and turned to leave, but before she could take a step, Rudra called after her, "Why don’t you sit with me while I eat? I could use a break."

She paused, unsure for a moment, but then nodded. "Alright."

As she sat down, she couldn’t help but feel the weight of the morning pressing down on her, but for now, she pushed it aside, hoping to find some solace in the quiet company of her brother-in-law.

As Rudra ate, he couldn’t help but steal glances at Aayara. She looked stunning, even in her simplicity, but there was an undeniable sadness in her eyes that tugged at his heart. His brother, Arjun, was oblivious, as always. Rudra clenched his jaw, irritated at how carelessly his brother treated her.

He hadn’t been around last night—he’d been off at his car race, something he still kept secret from everyone. When he returned in the early morning, he didn’t expect to find Aayara looking this broken.

“Bhabhi…” he said softly, putting down his spoon. She glanced at him, her face showing surprise at his tone. "Is everything alright?"

Aayara hesitated, unsure how to respond. Her lips parted slightly, but then she quickly forced a smile. "Yes, everything's fine, Rudra."

He raised an eyebrow, not convinced. "I don’t believe you," he said quietly, his voice gentle but firm. "You don’t have to hide it from me, you know. If something’s bothering you... I’m here."

Her eyes softened at his concern, but she quickly lowered them, not wanting to burden him with her problems. "It's nothing. Just tired, I guess."

Rudra sighed, knowing she wouldn’t open up easily. He stole another glance at her, his heart aching a bit more. How could his brother be so blind? He looked at her, his mind racing with thoughts of how much Aayara deserved better than this, better than being treated as an afterthought.

“You deserve to be happy, Bhabhi,” he said suddenly, his voice barely above a whisper. Aayara looked at him, surprised, but he quickly averted his gaze, continuing to eat as if nothing had happened.
