THIRD POV:
The evening was calm, the soft glow of the setting sun casting a warm light through the windows of our cozy home. Sophie and I were curled up on the couch, a blanket draped over our legs as we listened to music. The song "ILYM" by John K played softly in the background, its lyrics resonating deeply with both of us.
I turned to Sophie, my eyes filled with a mixture of affection and gratitude. "You know, every time I hear this song, I think of you," I said softly, my voice carrying the weight of my emotions.
Sophie looked at me, her heart swelling with love. "I feel the same way, Keefe. You've brought so much light into my life. I can't imagine going through everything without you by my side."
We sat in comfortable silence for a while, each lost in our own thoughts. The song's chorus played, and I couldn't help but smile as I sang along quietly, "I love you more than the bad days ahead. I love you more than the nights that we ended with slammin' doors. Oh, I love you more."
Sophie leaned her head against my shoulder, feeling a sense of peace and contentment. "Do you remember the first time we said 'I love you'?" she asked, her voice filled with nostalgia.
I nodded, a fond smile spreading across my face. "How could I forget? It was after that crazy adventure in the Forbidden Cities. We were both so exhausted, but I knew I had to tell you how I felt."
Sophie laughed softly, the memory bringing a warmth to her heart. "I was so nervous, but hearing you say those words made everything feel right."
I reached out, taking her hand in mine. "And now, here we are, stronger than ever. I love you more every day, Sophie."
Tears welled up in Sophie's eyes as she looked into my earnest gaze. "I love you more too, Keefe. You've always been my rock, my light in the darkness."
We shared a tender kiss, our hearts beating in unison. In that moment, we knew that our love was unbreakable, forged through trials and triumphs. We had found each other, and that was all that mattered.
As the song continued to play, Sophie and I held each other close, our love growing stronger with each passing moment. The lyrics seemed to echo our feelings perfectly: "There will be times when your heart will forget, so I'll say it over and over again, so you know for sure, darlin', I love you more."
Sophie smiled up at me, her eyes shining with emotion. "I love you more than my bad jokes that I take too far," she said, quoting another line from the song. "You roll your eyes and then smile 'cause you know it's just who we are."
I chuckled, feeling a surge of affection for her. "I'll love you more as the years pass us by. If you ever doubt it, just look in my eyes, and you'll know for sure."
We sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, the music weaving a tapestry of love and devotion around us. In that quiet, intimate moment, we knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, our hearts forever intertwined.
