*This is part 2 of 2* (PT 1: "Asking For Her")

Keefe's POV:

After I had finally gained the trust and approval from Grady and Edaline, even if it was terrifying. Although it wasn't Edaline, I was afraid of.  I knew there was only one thing left to do – plan the perfect proposal. Sophie, or as I liked to call her, Foster, was the woman of my dreams, the one who had captured my heart since the first day we met at Foxfire. I wanted to show her just how much she meant to me, and how ready I was to spend the rest of my life with her.

I spent weeks meticulously planning every detail. The proposal had to be unforgettable, just like our love story. With the help of Sophie's closest friends, Dex and Biana, we managed to secure the perfect location – a secluded grove deep within the Forbidden Cities. It was a place only a few had ever laid eyes on, a place of enchantment and seclusion.

The day of the proposal arrived, and I could feel the weight of anticipation building inside me. My heart pounded in my chest as I checked and double-checked everything. The path leading to the grove was adorned with flowers, twinkling string lights, and lanterns, casting a soft glow in the twilight. It was like stepping into a fairytale.

As twilight descended, Biana and Dex arrived, bringing with them Sophie's favorite flowers – a bouquet of luminescent tipeticia blooms. They had a calming effect on her, one that reminded her of home and her Elven heritage. I knew she would appreciate the gesture.

Just as the sun began to set, Sophie arrived, and my breath caught in my throat. She was wearing a simple, elegant dress that accentuated her every curve, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. She had no idea what was to come, and that made it all the more exciting.

I took her hand and led her down the path towards the grove. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of chirping birds created a symphony of nature around us. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting.

When we reached the center of the grove, Sophie's eyes widened in surprise. The space was transformed into a magical wonderland, with twinkling lights hanging from every branch, casting a warm glow over the area. A blanket was spread out on the ground, adorned with rose petals and surrounded by flickering candles.

Pulling her into my arms, I whispered, "Foster, you are the light of my life. From the moment I met you, I knew my world would never be the same. You bring out the best in me, and I can't imagine living my life without you. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Sophie's eyes welled up with tears, and she nodded, her voice shaking as she exclaimed, "Yes, Keefe! A thousand times, yes!"

Cheers erupted from the hidden onlookers as I slipped the beautiful diamond ring onto her trembling finger. It sparkled in the flickering candlelight, matching the joy radiating from Sophie's face. In that moment, time stood still, and it was just the two of us, surrounded by the love and support of our friends.

And then, without thinking, our lips met in a tender kiss. It was a kiss that spoke volumes; a kiss filled with promises of a future intertwined, of adventures yet to come, and of a love that would stand the test of time. In that moment, there was no room for doubt or uncertainty. Our love was a flame that burned brighter than any darkness.

As we slowly pulled apart, an overwhelming sense of joy washed over us. The world seemed brighter, colors more vibrant, and possibilities endless. We were ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead, united in our love and commitment.

As the night air grew colder, we wrapped a warm blanket around ourselves, and I held Sophie close, feeling her heartbeat against mine. We stayed there, lost in each other's arms, dreaming of a future filled with love and adventure. It was a perfect moment, a memory that I would cherish forever.

When the time finally came to leave the grove, we walked hand-in-hand, our hearts filled with excitement and joy. Our friends were waiting for us at a nearby café, ready to celebrate our engagement. The night was filled with laughter, tears, and toasts to our future happiness.

Months later, as we stood before our friends and family, exchanging vows, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible journey that had brought us to this moment. From the first time I saw Sophie to the night I proposed, every step we took had led us to this very moment.

And as we sealed our love with a kiss, I knew that no matter what trials and challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, forever bound by a love that was stronger than anything the world could throw at us. Sophie, my Foster, was my forever, and nothing would ever change that.

From that day forward, we embarked on a new adventure, filled with love, laughter, and happiness. And as we walked hand-in-hand towards a future that was ours to shape, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unexpected twists and turns that had brought us together. It was a love story for the ages, one that would be told and retold for generations to come.
