A/N: "I Think I'm in Love (Oh No) -Shiloh & Bros

Keefe's POV:

As I sat on the park bench, my gaze wandered aimlessly until it landed on her. She was a vision, a radiant presence that seemed to light up the entire park. Sophie Foster. The name echoed in my mind as I watched her, unable to tear my eyes away. She moved with grace, her blonde hair catching the sunlight in a way that made it seem like strands of gold. And those eyes – brown, yet speckled with golden flecks that sparkled like stars in the night sky.

I had known Sophie for a while now, ever since we were kids. We grew up in the world of the Lost Cities, surrounded by magic and mystery. And yet, she was the most enchanting thing I had ever seen. There was something about her that drew me in, like a moth to a flame. I couldn't explain it, but whenever she was near, my heart seemed to beat a little faster, my pulse quickening with anticipation.

I watched as she sat on the grass, her face turned towards the sky. The sunlight played on her skin, casting a warm glow that made her seem almost ethereal. She was lost in her own thoughts, a slight frown marring her usually serene expression. It pulled at something deep inside me, a desire to reach out to her, to chase away whatever shadows haunted her mind.

I stood up, my feet moving of their own accord towards her. The distance between us seemed to shrink with every step I took, the world around us fading into the background as my focus narrowed on her. I reached her side, my shadow falling over her form.

"Hey, Sophie," I said, my voice softer than I had intended. She looked up, surprise flickering in her eyes before it was replaced by a small smile.

"Hey, Keefe," she replied, her voice gentle. I sat down beside her, the grass cool beneath me. We sat in silence for a moment, the air between us filled with unspoken words.

"What are you thinking about?" I finally asked, breaking the quiet that had settled around us like a shroud.

Sophie hesitated, her gaze dropping to her hands. "Just... things," she said cryptically. I wanted to press her, to unravel the mysteries that seemed to shroud her thoughts, but I held back. Instead, I bumped my shoulder against hers, a playful grin tugging at my lips.

"Well, whatever it is, you know you can always talk to me," I said, hoping she could see the sincerity in my eyes. Sophie looked at me, her expression softening.

"Thanks, Keefe," she murmured, the weight of her words hanging heavy between us. I wanted to say more, to express the feelings that had been swirling inside me ever since I had laid eyes on her. But the words caught in my throat, the fear of rejection holding me back.

We sat together in companionable silence, the sounds of the park filtering through the air around us. The chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves – they formed a backdrop to the moment, a tapestry of natural sounds that seemed to cocoon us in our own little world.

As the sun began its slow descent towards the horizon, casting long shadows across the park, I knew I had to say something. I couldn't keep these feelings bottled up inside me any longer. Taking a deep breath, I turned to face Sophie, my gaze locking with hers.

"Sophie, there's something I need to tell you," I started, my voice steadier than I had imagined it would be. Sophie looked at me, her eyes searching mine for some clue as to what lay behind my words.

"I... I think I'm in love with you," I blurted out, the words rushing out in a torrent of emotion. I held my breath, waiting for her response, my heart pounding in my chest.

Sophie's eyes widened, surprise flashing across her features. And then, a smile lit up her face, a smile that reached all the way to her eyes, making them sparkle like precious gems.

"Keefe, I think I might be in love with you too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, a burden I hadn't even realized I had been carrying vanished in an instant.

We sat there, grinning like fools, our hands finding each other's as if they were made to fit together. The world seemed brighter, more vibrant, as if a new chapter had been written in the story of our lives.

And as we sat there, basking in the glow of our newfound love, I knew that this was just the beginning. Sophie and I had a lifetime ahead of us, filled with adventures and mysteries waiting to be unravelled. But as long as we were together, I knew we could face anything that came our way.

I leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Sophie's lips, the taste of her on mine sending shivers down my spine. And in that moment, surrounded by the beauty of the park and the warmth of her love, I knew that I had found my home – in her arms, in her heart.

I, Keefe Sencen, was in love. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
