"So, how are you even alive?" Natsu asked as Axel carefully put you down on a makeshift bed. He quickly left the room and tried to use a hand motion to close it, but it wasn't working.

"What is going on?" He asked as Happy looked at him and closed the door, confused.

"Wait, so does that mean?" He paused as he walked right into the door.

"Ow, okay, so can't be walk through walls; that's going to take some getting used to," he said as they went to the central part of the guild.

"So my mom is the key to opening the void, but the thing was, he still couldn't get out even if he had her. He needed a person from his world to join with the person from this world. By joining, I mean killing them in a ritual thing. Sure, I wasn't strong enough to hold his powers, but I was what he needed to open the gate. I was supposed to come here and rake my mother, and then he would kill us both, but I refused and was put in this cell that I couldn't escape from. My mom found me in her monster form and started digging me out, but that was until Death snapped his fingers blah blah blah. He gets killed, the cell is broken, and I help you guys. Oh yeah, so I  was like him and feared magic, but I don't think I can do that anymore," he said awkwardly.

"How are you not evil? I mean, you grew up in that place," Lucy asked.

"Oh, that is kind of harder to explain, so you see, I was told my mother never wanted me, but then, in your terms, a couple of months ago, the veil between our worlds was starting to thin out. I did hate her for a while, years even, but since we both were cursed and I came from her, I could see her in reflections. At first, I thought it was a fluke, but since I'm also part of that ass, I could see her. At first, I wanted to get her attention to scare her, but she got me a birthday present and was wrapping it up for me. She made me a cake and everything.

I realized then she always wanted me. Death just lied about it. She always talked to me when no one was there, and my brother, too. I tried to warn her so she wouldn't die, but when he found out, he locked me in my cell. Do.. do any of you know what my brother was like or how old he was when he was killed?" Axel asked.

"He was killed the day he was born; I'm sorry," Gray said as sorrow hung over Axel.

"So she never got to know either of us? I was hoping he got to feel how much she loved him. Do you think she will want me? I know it seems selfish, and I know she's still grieving, but I look like the guy that- I don't want her to be reminded of that. Also, she has been thinking I was dead for the last eight years. I'm also not eight; I'm sixteen because time goes by faster there," he said softly.

"If you want, we can sit here with you," Levy said.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah, of course, you are one of us. It may not be official, but you are her son," Levy said.

"Yes, you are; thank you for saving us. By the way, our powers had been drained," Ezra said as she sat beside him, and he smiled.

"Not a problem, it was worth this,' he said as Mira brought over some food for him.

He looked at it, unsure of what to do with it.

"What do I do with this?" Axel asked as Natsu smiled.

"Never thought you ask! You eat it!" He said as he got his plate and started eating it with his bare hands.

"Then what do I do with these things?" Axel asked as he held the fork and spoon.

"You never ate anything in that realm?' Erza asked.

"No," he said as Erza started teaching him how to use a fork and spoon.

"How did you know my name was Axel? I just found out I had a name a couple of months ago," he said.

"Oh, she drew you," Natsu said, grabbing a journal and flipping through some pages to get to what you drew.

"She saw me too?" He asked as he saw it looked exactly like him minus the black veins on his face.

You woke up slowly, and you felt like you got hit by a truck. You realized you were in the guild, and you forced yourself to stand up on shaky legs and quickly got out of the room you were in.

"You need to leave the guild now," you said as you hit the floor, and Axel quickly got up and went to your side.

"What's wrong?" Axel asked.

"I was running here... monsters were following me," you said as you looked up at him and froze.

Axel quickly looked away, realizing you recognized him from somewhere.

"Axel?" You asked as he slowly looked back at you.

"Hi, Mom. I- I know this is a lot for you, and if you don't want to look at me or have me here right now-" he paused as you hugged him tightly.

"Don't ever think I don't want you around. My poor baby, I'm so sorry," you cried as he hugged you back and started crying.

"I thought you didn't want me. He kept telling me you didn't even name me, and I hated you for so long only to find out he lied to me. But you did, and you always talked to me and my brother. You don't have to be sorry, Mom; I know you tried to save us both and couldn't. I love you so much," he cried as you couldn't even talk anymore you were so happy just to hug him that words couldn't even describe it.

After a while, you two let go of each other, and you messed with his hair and touched his cheeks, making you smile.

"Is it okay if we go outside? I never seen grass before or anything besides, you know, dead bodies and blood," he said as you smiled.

"Anything you want to do we can do it as long as it's legal," you smiled as he looked at you confused.

"Legal?" He asked

"Yeah, looks like I get to teach you a few things," you said as you tried to get up, but you could barely stand.

"Mom, it's okay, don't push yourself. We can do things some other time. You should rest," he said.

"You've never seen grass, so I'm taking you outside," you said as Natsu came by and helped you up.

"Thanks Natsu. Oh, um, Axel, this is Natsu. He's one of my good friends here," you said as he smiled, ignoring the fact you had no memory of saving them. You only remembered the monsters and coming here to save them.

"I am let's get you outside!" He said as you three, including Happy, went outside and the sun was setting. It was still bright out, making him look around, shocked, seeing so much color.

He looked down at the grass as he was inches away and wanted to touch it but he was scared to touch it.

"It's okay to touch it," you said as he got on his knees and was about to touch it when he pulled away and looked up at you.

"Here,' you said as you got on your knees grabbed his hand, and put it on the grass.

"Whoa, this feels so weird, what's that?' Axel asked.

"That's a tree," you said as Natsu smiled.

"Race you to the top of the tree!" Natsu yelled as he ran off and Axel looked at you.

"It's okay I'll be fine, go have fun," you said as he smiled at you.

"Okay, if you aren't okay, I'll come right back, promise," he said as you smiled as he took off running to climb the tree.

You sat there as your son tried climbing the tree and almost fell off doing it, but Happy was keeping him from hitting the ground and helping him climb higher. You were smiling, and the other guild members got out and watched as your son was experiencing things for the first time. Romeo joined in, and of course, Natsu won, and Romeo was second while your son struggled with the tree. It was funny to watch him struggling, but everyone started cheering him on, including you. He finally reached the top but used his powers to get down since it was high up, and he didn't want to worry you. This was the best day of your life and you hoped you weren't dreaming that it was true.
