You came back into town a couple of days later, and Neji was trying to avoid you at all costs, mostly because he still wanted you. He knew it meant nothing to you, but to him, it meant a lot. Neji sighed while eating at the ramen place with Naruto and Lee.
"So I heard Y/n came back in one piece," Naruto said as Neji rolled his eyes.
"That's great! I was worried the guy she had to kill was a creep," Lee said.
"Really?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah, nearly killed us and would have if Y/n wasn't so good at acting," Lee said.
"Neji, I think she's single; you should ask her out on a date," Naruto said.
"Lee, did you tell him?" Neji asked.
"I had to; I'm worried about you. Your standards are way too high for any girl. No one is perfect, and making a list of things they should do and be able to do is too long," Lee pointed out.
"You don't know my standards," Neji pointed out.
"Then list your standards," Lee said.
"Fine if you really must know. The woman has to be wise, not just street smart but book smart as well. She has to be able to cook because if we are going to have kids, I would like it if she stayed home so the children become orphans. She must be willing to have children. She has to be beautiful and modest. She has to match my skill set in Chakra usage. She has to acknowledge that I'm not going to be home all the time due to missions, so she will have to get a job here and be able to take care of the house when I'm gone," he paused.
"See right there is what I'm talking about," Lee said.
"I'm not done yet," Neji said, " The children we have will have to have the curse mark on them because of my family's tradition. Then it just gets down to the basic stuff like catering to my needs but that's it," he said as Lee scoffed.
"No wonder you don't have a girlfriend, Neji; you want a submissive wife that will do whatever you say with no question," Lee pointed out.
"It's tradition," Neji said.
"Times are changing, Neji. You know you want a girl from the Dark Ages, right?" Lee said.
"Hey!" You said as you sat next to Neji.
"Great," Neji muttered.
"Hey, I got clothes on this time, and wow, so do you. Don't worry; I won't strip you down this time. So what are you guys talking about?" You asked.
"Your regular?" The noodle guy asked.
"Please," you said as he started making it for you.
"Girls, I don't think you would be interested," Lee said, trying to save Neji from a beating from you.
"Does little virgin Neji have a crush?!" You asked as you were ready to, get into his personal life.
"No, and stop calling me that!" Neji said as Naruto chuckled.
"You are the only one out of the four of us that still is," Naruto pointed out.
"Not true, so am I," you said.
"Seriously, you don't act like it," Lee said as you pulled out Pervy Sage's first book he wrote.
"Kakashi gave this to me when I was fourteen. Female ninjas have shorter life spans than men mainly because we can go into the belly of the beast without them realizing what we are. But once our cover is blown, that's it. We are dead; no amount of flirting will get you out of the mess you're in. I wouldn't know what to do to a guy if Kakashi hadn't given me pointers and books like this. Actually, now that I think about it, I wouldn't even be here right now," you said as Naruto looked at you, shocked.
