You avoided everyone as much as you could. You stayed in your room all the time, and you didn't even eat with everyone. You were sure your whole class knew you were a freak of nature and didn't want them to bully you, but that was far from the truth. It had been weeks since you hung out with anyone, and your friends started worrying about you. Mezou gave you all the needed space since he understood how many people would look down on you for your quirk. He never said why you were acting the way you were or even mentioned the kiss that happened by accident. Your lips just touched due to you falling on him, but it was an odd experience for the both of you.
"Hey, y/n, want to play Just Dance with us?" Momo asked, trying to get you out of your room.
"I- I'm okay. I got to study, " you said; you quickly went to your room and disappeared.
"What happened to Y/n? She won't even dance anymore, and she doesn't even want to be around us," Momo said as Mina sighed.
It was odd, sure, and Kirishima tried to talk to you, but you avoided it as if your life depended on it. It wasn't just the awkward kiss that bothered you, but your parents were putting a lot of pressure on you to the point you were skipping meals to study to make them happy. You were struggling, and it was killing you. Your suit was revealed due to your quirk, and your parents called you every name in the book. You had it changed, but it wasn't enough for them.
The next day, you went on patrol in your skimpy outfit with Kirishima. You weren't talkative, and you kept feeling people staring at you, which made you uncomfortable.
"Man, I hate this," you said as Kirishima smiled.
"Why? We get to be an apprentice to a hero!" He said as you sighed.
"I feel people staring at me, and I hate it!" You said.
"No one is looking at you; you are fine," he said.
"Says the guy. I feel like a tramp," you said as he looked at your costume. It completely covered your body, and you even had a mask covering half your face.
"Your costume almost covers everything except the bottom half of your face. You never wanted to be a hero, did you?" He asked.
"No! I hate people staring at me, my pictures taken, the interviews, the costumes, people, stress, traveling, villains," you said as Kirishima stopped walking and put a hand on your shoulder, making you jump.
"Being touched," you said as he pulled away.
"Sorry. Why are you here if you don't want to be a hero?" He asked.
"I did at first, but my parents put too much pressure on me to be the top student. Then, I had to move because I was getting bullied so badly. Now, I just want to be left alone. My parents don't want me to be a DJ because they do drugs, and if you want to be a dance teacher, you are a stripper from my parent's point of view. Every time I dance, they call me a stripper and say that if I want to do that instead of school work, I might as well be a hooker at a strip club because of my powers," you said you forgot you had to breathe.
"Wow, your parents are awful," he said as you shrugged.
"I just have to live through this, and then I can do what I want, hopefully," you said.
"Is that why you have been avoiding everyone?" Kirishima asked as you looked at him, confused.
"Mezou didn't tell you anything?" You asked.
"No, he just said you felt terrible for kissing him, and the meltdown was because your powers got overstimulated. I don't see how, but turning back quickly messed up your powers," he said as you looked at him, shocked.
