ALORA

My aim for his hand slightly slid a bit and the bullet instead hit between his fingers.

"Ahhh! You little..." Domenico gritted through clenched teeth. "Oh God! It hurts so bad!"

In the same moment, others except Enzo turned back to see me, their eyes widened, mouth drop open. It is clear that they were shocked. While Enzo intensely watched me, his eyebrows furrowed.

I suspected something wasn't right the moment he wanted me to go back to the mansion. And I did listen to him. Stella was driving me back when I got another message from the anonymous number.

From MARS.

Again.

Seeing the message, I somehow managed to stop Stella halfway, saying that I needed to meet with Tim. Though she didn't know about Tim- she must have thought he was someone related to me. That's why she didn't object but yet she was worried about me. I somehow convinced her in the end.

The message said Domenico would be trying to leave the country. Tonight.

The MARS man again helped me. By giving me some of the most important information.

Coming here, what I didn't expect was the emergency matter Enzo said having to solve would turn out to be this. He also came to stop him from leaving.

In an instant, Rome and Galen pointed their guns at the now half conscious and more suffering Domenico- while Max snatched the gun from his hold. While Enzo and Carlo came running to me.

"You are not supposed to be here." After a long time, I heard the anger in his voice when he was talking to me.

Carlo agreed to him. "Yes, Alora, Enzo is right. Why did you come here?"

"And how did you get to know where we would be?" Enzo raised his eyebrows.

The story is when they were talking about this emergency matter within themselves, I secretly got out the information from Max. Well, being an honest friend of Enzo, he didn't tell me Domenico's name or what they were going to do. But being a good friend of mine, he gave me some hints and made me understand.

Later after getting the message, all I had to do was join the dots. Now, here I am.

Enzo stared at me for a brief moment, probably thinking of an amazing answer himself for his earlier question. I am not going to say Max's name. I won't.

"Alright," He said, then proceeded to take me out of there. "You are not staying here any longer."

"Enzo, maybe we should-" Carlo said, but he cut him off.

"No, Carlo. It's better if she leaves right now."

He can't do this. I won't let him to do this to me.

"What are you doing, Enzo?" He didn't listen to me at all. "You first didn't tell me that he was going to leave the country and come here- for what?"

He paused and I took the chance to pull away my hand from his grip. "I am doing all this for you." He breathed out.

"Then I am also doing this for myself." He pursed his lips into a thin line.

I don't want to fight him. I really don't. So, he needs to understand that Domenico's business is also my business so if that man plans to leave the country then I must stop him right away. My revenge is still not completed.

Domenico released a dry laugh, watching both of us. I glanced at his hand's injured area, noticing it shaking uncontrollably while the other hand held the wrist. I know there's no comparison between the pain my parents felt to his pain. However, I can see that he is also feeling a bit of it right now.
