ENZO
"I should have gone after them." Max looks like he is dying in boredom.
Not again. I have heard him saying this a hundred times since then.
"And I shouldn't have let them steal Mia from me." Looks like now they are regretting their decision to let the girls go without us.
To be honest, I am regretting it too. Had I known earlier that I would have to listen to their cries just because they couldn't stay with their girlfriend- I would have followed my Alora behind their backs.
"Stop this nonsense, Galen. Not you too. I am already tolerating this freaking Carlo."
"Saying the one who is continuously staring at the door since Stella informed us that they're coming back." Max side eyed me.
This idiot Max! He has been acting so bold so far in front of me.
I glared at him. Very hard. "Are you done?"
Carlo grinned. "He has a point, though."
Unfortunately, though I hate to admit it, yes. Max was right. When Carlo said that Stella told all of us to come to the cafe we are in right now, I couldn't think of anything else but to keep my eyes glued watching the entrance door. I need nothing else, only to get my Alora back beside me.
But why are they taking so long to come to the cafe? It started to worry me. So I walked away from my friends to the corner of the cafe. I quickly dialled the number and called her.
"Hey." Her happy voice came to my ears like a pure melody.
"Where are you all?"
"We are coming." A silence passed on the other side. "Are you, perhaps, worried?"
"I am." You make me worry.
"Don't be. Stella already told you that we will join you guys there." I heard some weird noises from her side- who else could have made it other than Stella.
"Alora."
"Yes?"
"Be safe."
Or I can't guarantee what I will do to the world if she gets hurt in any way. I will turn the world upside down.
She hummed a yes. Then I hung up.
There was a glass window right beside the cafe's entrance door. I stared outside at the road where some vehicles were making traffic.
With the chatter and music noises around me, my eyes diverted from the road to a group of girls standing on the other side of the road. The crowd on the road going back and forth disappeared from my vision, only to get distracted and captured by that one person.
Alora Gray.
She was smiling, giggling too when I saw Mia whispering something to her. They were about to cross the road when Stella linked her arms with her, making her chuckle. Their friendship is getting stronger, I must say. While on the other side a new friendship seemed to be born between Mia and Betty.
As I saw them entering the cafe, my thoughts came to a halt. All the stress, tension, surprisingly disappeared by the view of her. Alora didn't notice my presence beside them yet. She walked over to my friends, and they stood up with happiness. Oh, she looks so happy. So relaxed.
I can see her eyes sparkling while they shifted from one place to another. A smile appeared on my face when I realised she was searching for a certain someone. And the fact that it's me, I am on cloud nine right now.
