The Finals Begin

The next day, Himari woke up early. She headed straight to the kitchen and made snacks for the team. She knew the day was going to be long, so she made enough to last them through five sets.

After she was finished packing everything, her dad walked into the kitchen with a smile.

"Mari, are you ready for today?"

Himari nodded excitedly, causing her dad to chuckle and ruffle her hair.

"I'm off today, so I'm going to come and watch. Plus, I want to see that Kageyama kid. I decided to offer him a spot at the camp. Text Kiyoko and tell her you'll come with me."

Himari nodded and texted the third year. Once Kiyoko sent a thumbs up in response, Himari and her father headed to his car.

"Hey, shouldn't Mari be here?" Tanaka asked once they walked into the building.

"She's coming with her dad, and she said she's on her way." Kiyoko responded.

The team nodded and began walking when whispers broke out among the crowd. The Karasuno players turned around and saw Himari with her dad, waving at them.

"Sorry, I'm late!"

Daichi smiled, "It's fine. We're glad you're here."

Daisuke approached them and put a hand on Himari's head, "I'm looking forward to seeing you guys play."

"Thank you sir!"

Daisuke turned to his daughter with a smile, "I'm going to wait for the doors to open. Do your best out there."

Himari nodded and turned back to her team. She was talking with Hinata when someone called his name.

"Oh, are these your friends?" Himari asked.

"Yeah, they were on my team in middle school. Technically, they were just warm bodies so I could have enough players."

"Hey, I'm Izumi."

"I'm Koji."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Himari."

Hinata and his friends talked before being called back by Kageyama,

"Mari, Hinata, let's go."

Himari grabbed Hinata's sleeve and pulled him along. She waved to his friends as the two encouraged Hinata to do his best.

As the team was walking to put their stuff up, they overheard an old man talking bad about Karasuno. Himari rolled up her sleeves and was about to march over to him when Suga stopped her.

"Don't pay attention to him."

"Whatever."

Eventually, everyone was let into the gym. Daisuke made his way up the stairs, to where Karasuno was sitting. Once he entered the seating area, he made his way to the front.

Takinoue and Shimada spotted him and stiffened. Daisuke noticed and laughed,

"Hey, calm down. I don't bite or anything. Plus, we've already met before."
