Himari watched as Hinata and Kageyama started the game off with their quick attack. Everyone on Nekoma was shocked, but they quickly composed themselves and got ready for the next rally.
After Karasuno got more points, Nekoma called a timeout. Himari knew exactly what was going to happen, so she just opened Kenma's phone and played the game she liked.
"I don't like these guys, I feel like they're scrutinizing our every move." Ukai said once the timeout was over.
"They are, at least Kenma is." Himari said.
"What are you talking about?"
"Kenma is an observer. He notices everyone's actions and what they do. I bet you he's come up with a plan to shut down that quick attack."
Ukai and Takeda nodded and turned back to the game. Himari continued playing the game on Kenma's phone when she heard Kageyama ask for a pass.
Himari looked up and watched as Kageyama pulled off a straight hit. She nodded and gave him thumbs up before turning back to her game. Kageyama pumped his fists in excitement before going back to his position.
"Why aren't you watching the game, Nakamura?" Ukai asked as he watched the girl intensely stare at the screen in front of her.
"No offense, but I don't need to watch to know that our team will lose. When it comes to Nekoma, they're stable with their receives and passes to the setter, and because of that, Kenma only has to concentrate on his own job. Tetsu calls him the brain of the team. He has a whole speech about it, it's cringey, but it's true." Himari finished the level and looked up at the coach.
"We're going to lose today, but it gives us a lot to work on. Plus, we'll just have a rematch at nationals, so it'll be fine."
Ukai and Takeda looked at the girl, not knowing whether they should be offended or not. Himari just stretched and got up, folding her jacket and putting it on the ground before lying down.
"I'm taking a nap, wake me up if something interesting happens, like if we win or something."
In two minutes, she was out like a light. The first set ended and the team gathered around, some smiling at the first year girl who was fast asleep. From Nekoma's bench, Kuroo chuckled and shook his head. He brought out the container that had the snacks Himari made and held them out for his teammates.
"Eat up, I have a feeling this is going to be a long day."
The Nekoma team stared at the honeyed lemon slices and each of them took one with hesitation. They watched as their captain and setter ate the lemon slices with no hesitation and decided to try it. Once they ate it, their eyes lit up and they ate all of it until there was none left.
"That was so good! Who made them?" Inuoka asked.
"Mari did. She's excellent at cooking and baking." He replied, proud of his niece.
"You mean, a cute girl made this for us?!" Yamamoto asked happily.
Kuroo's face dropped and he slapped the wing spiker on the back of the head, "Calm down."
"Yes sir."
Soon, the second set started and Hinata kept getting blocked over and over again. Himari eventually woke up when she heard Ukai screaming for a timeout.
"What's going on?" She asked groggily.
"Hinata spiked with his eyes open." Tadashi said.
Himari nodded, "If Kageyama can set Hinata with an indirect delivery he might have more options. However, that would also require Hinata to think about how and where to spike. Up until now he's been leaving it to Kageyama." Himari commented, her eyes closing every few seconds.
Ukai nodded and Suga patted her shoulder with a smile, "Go back to sleep, Nakamura."
Himari nodded and laid her head back down, immediately going back to sleep. The team smiled and chuckled at her. Eventually, they went back on to the court and Hinata kept missing the ball.
Eventually, Kuroo was at the front facing Hinata. The tiny middle blocker looked at him nervously as the Nekoma captain just stared.
How is Nakamura not scared of him?!
"Inuoka is about eight inches taller than you are and you still gave him a run for his money. Not too bad, small fry. Plus, my niece is training you, so I expect great things."
"Who are you calling small fry, small fry?!" Hinata yelled.
Kuroo just smirked and watched as Kageyama dragged Hinata away.
The two teams exchanged rallies and eventually, Nekoma got to match point when Kenma did a setter dump.
Kageyama set to Hinata one last time, but the ball was received by Yaku and it hit the net. Yamamoto sloppily received the ball and when it was about to hit the ground, Kenma received it and sent it back over the net to Karasuno's side.
They were unable to receive the ball, so Nekoma had won the game, 2-0.
Himari stretched as she looked at the results. Once she got up her phone rang. Looking at the contact, she smiled.
"Hi dad!" She listened to what her dad said and her smile widened.
"Alright, I'm coming."
She ended the call and looked at everyone with a smile, "I'll be back."
She left the gym and Hinata looked at Nekoma with a determined face, "One more game!"
Coach Nekomata smiled and nodded, "Sure, I was planning on it. It wouldn't be a practice match without a rematch or two."
Suddenly the gym doors slammed open and Himari walked in with a handsome man who looked very similar to her. She smiled at everyone, but most of them were too shocked to say anything.
"Can my dad watch the next game?" Himari asked.
"That's Daisuke Nakamura!" Yamamoto whispered.
Kuroo smiled and walked up to greet his brother in law, dragging Kenma along.
"Tetsuro, how are you?"
"I'm doing fine, thanks. How about you? How's my sister?"
"I'm doing good, I just decided to drop by before heading to Tokyo. Ayaka is doing great too."
Daisuke looked at Kenma and his smile widened, "Kenma, how are you doing? Still playing games?"
Kenma smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I've been trying to get to a new level on a game I just got."
Daisuke nodded and patted Kenma on the back, "Well, if anyone can do it, it's you."
Daisuke then looked up and smiled at everyone, "You guys don't mind if I watch, right?"
Everyone was still too shocked to move, so Himari coughed to get their attention.
"No, it's fine, you can watch." Coach Nekomata said.
"Great, I'll give everyone feedback afterwards." He told them with a smile that was identical to Himari's.
He patted Kuroo and Kenma on the back before placing a kiss on Himari's forehead. He went to the balcony where two of the neighborhood association team members were standing.
When Himari approached her team, they looked at her weirdly. She gave them a smile and sat down.
"Nakamura, you never said your dad was coming." Daichi said with a nervous look.
"Call me Himari or Mari. It's confusing since my dad is technically Coach Nakamura. Also, I didn't know he was coming either."
Himari smiled at them again and gestured for them to get back on the court. She knew that everyone would play even harder in order to impress her father.
Once everyone was on the court, the whistle blew and the rematch started.
