The game started with Daichi serving, which was easily received and sent to Shirabu who set it to Ushiwaka. Noya got into position to receive the ball, but because Ushiwaka was left-handed he botched the receive.

"We never had enough time to prepare for his left-handed spikes." Takeda commented.

"Give Noya a few minutes and he'll be able to receive that ball with his eyes closed." Mari replied back.

The game continued and the players were making beginner's mistakes. Suddenly, Suga started yelling.

"They need to calm down." Himari muttered, keeping her eyes on the game.

Ushiwaka was sent the ball again and he spiked it to Noya. The libero botched the receive and scowled.

"Noya." Himari called out.

He looked at her and she held up three fingers. He nodded and reassured his teammates before they all got back into position.

Up in the stands, Saeko finally understood what was going on.

"Oh man, I thought there was something about that guy! Is the guy in the number one jersey left handed? I noticed my little brother always comes in from the left so that must be why he comes in from the right."

Takinoue nodded, "That's right. It's pretty rare too, so it's like he was born to be the ace."

Takinoue explained the positioning of the players and Daisuke nodded.

"You're right. I've seen Ushijima play countless times, but he never ceases to amaze me. Though he could stand to be a little less serious."

Saeko looked at him before turning to Shimada and Takinoue.

"Who's he?"

"He's Nakamura's dad." Shimada whispered.

Saeko's eyes widened and she turned back to the man who was smiling.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Daisuke."

"I'm Saeko. Is it true you're the coach for the national team?"

Daisuke nodded, "Yup, and I'm proud of it. I probably wouldn't be able to juggle everything without Mari's and the other kids' help."

Saeko nodded and they turned back to the game. The group grimaced as Ushiwaka scored another point, but they cheered when Tanaka made a point.

"Yeah!"

Back on Karasuno's bench, Himari could see how frustrated they were getting. She leaned back and crossed her arms as the alarm sounded for the technical timeout.

After Ukai gave them his speech, Himari pulled Tsukishima off to the side.

"What?"

"Be patient. Someone's going to mess up eventually and that's when you'll block him."

"You think I'm going to block Ushiwaka? Don't be ridiculous."

"He's only human, and you were trained by the best blocker I know."

"You give Kuroo too much credit and also I am watching."

"Good. Now go." Himari finally said and pushed him back to the court.

"I wonder what she was telling my brother?" Akiteru questioned.

"Probably just giving him some motivational speech or something."

Daisuke shook his head, "Probably telling him to be patient. Mari understands how players work, especially under high stress situations. One slip up and Tsukishima will be able to block Ushiwaka."
