"I'm late!"

Himari quickly tore the covers off of her and rushed into the bathroom to get ready for school. She frantically brushed her hair and decided to keep it down and let it rest at the center of her back.

She ran down the stairs and into the kitchen where she saw her mom and dad smiling and talking.

"Morning!" She said as she took out a protein bar and put Kageyama's lunch in her bag.

"What are you in a rush for?" Her dad asked.

"School, I'm late!"

She quickly put her shoes on and stuffed her volleyball shoes in her bag. Her dad's eyes sparkled when he saw that.

"Mari, were those your volleyball shoes?" He asked.

"Don't get so emotional, dad. I'm helping the volleyball team with training."

Her dad looked away, "I'm not getting emotional!"

Himari's mother laughed and kissed her daughter and husband on the forehead before getting up from the table.

"Ayaka! Don't laugh at me!"

Himari smiled at her parents before checking the time and realizing that she was going to be late,

"Bye!"

She ran out of the door and began running to school.

My knee is not going to forgive me for this.

When the school day was finally over, Himari walked to the gym with a slight limp. She grimaced at every step, mentally kicking herself for running to school.

When she walked into the gym, she greeted Kiyoko who looked at her with concern. Himari smiled at her and waved it off.

When everyone got to the gym, Hinata immediately ran to Himari with a smile on his face. She chuckled and dug the piece of paper out of her backpack and handed it to him.

"Thank you!"

"No problem."

After he left, Kiyoko sat next to Himari and looked at her with the same concern as earlier. Himari sighed and turned to the third year with a smile.

"You overdid it, didn't you?"

"I ran to school..." Himari muttered.

Kiyoko nodded before getting up and getting some ice for the first year. Himari nodded as a thanks and put the ice on her knee.

"Just relax today. I'll help coach Ukai."

Himari nodded again and watched the practice. A couple of the members looked over at her with concern, but she pretended not to notice.

Once practice was over, Himari and Kiyoko headed to where the team would be staying for the duration of the training camp.

"Alright, let's get started on dinner."

Himari nodded and headed to get everything out. Kiyoko looked at all the ingredients and nodded.

"Curry and rice?"

"Yeah, plus some other things as side dishes." Himari answered as she rolled up her sleeves.

"Okay then, let's get started."

~

"Okay, everything's done. Let's set it on the table." Himari said.

As Himari grabbed a plate with vegetables, Kiyoko stopped her.

"You practically cooked everything, let me set it out."
